Just wondering if it is going to be as HTF as the red Double Decker. That one was only around for a short time. Anyone in the know?

This is a bit of an oddity. When an assortment is worked out, there are 48 models in large blister cases which are made up of around 30 models. Therefore, some models are packed 2 to a case, and some 1 to a case. A model tends to last for roughly 6 assortments, of which the first 3 tend to be where it is packed 2 to a case, and the last 3 1 to a case. If a model is released in 2 versions, each of these will be for 3 assortments, and both times they will be 2 to a case. Of course it is not an exact science, and occasionally models will appear slightly more or less depending on how well it appears to be selling.
However, due to the heavy weight and materials involved, the London Bus will always be packed 1 to a case throughout it's entire run. The run is scheduled to last for 6 assortments, as the red one did last year. This does not make it a limited edition, as it is roughly made in equivalent numbers to one of the versions of one of the vehicles that is made in 2 versions. Also, this works out to roughly 2/3rds of the amount of a model in one version.
I hope this helps.
:) :D :p

That's very interesting, Dave. It's been a couple years now that I've been into the MBX and HW's, but only now are any distribution/stocking patterns beginning to be recognized by me.
I was finding 3 black Hearses at a time quite often earlier this year, and found 3 white ones this week after a case was hung. Did the Hearse come 3 to a case?
