I received this GM Corvette from the 1st Corvette series in a trade and was very excited to be getting it. After receiving it I noticed a problem with the rear tire. Pics I received of the car were good so this has no bearing on the person I traded with and want to state that up front. The issue I though, had started during shipping. Looking at the first pic you can see the tire looks to be unseated from the rim and the package rubbed some of the chrome from the rim.

I decided to take the car out of the package, I just could not stand looking at it like that. It is going in my permanent collection so why not. After opening the package, this is what I discovered.

As you can see the axle appears to be too long and the tires will not stay on the rims as they appear to be stretched or something. :(
On another note, this is supposed to be a 1 of 50 car. The number on the bottom is 55. Were these placed randomely in this series or were the first cars supposed to be GM's?
Sorry for the long read, you can see my dissapointment. Again this has nothing to do with the person I received the car from. This was obviously a GL issue.
