This plain janer reminded me of a 1:1 car that I passed on in my youth.
Dad exerted some fatherly wisdom at the time and threw the black flag...LOL
Pretty tight up in there. A little scoop was removed from the inner rear fenders not much material to work with in this area. Concessions had to be made. Rear frame rails were thinned by half. Front Ansens were de-hubbed, de-flanged, and bored. PVTs all 'round, the rears were trued and the inner edge rolled for track rail hop. A standard rear drop axle settled the whole mess down to get the minor rearward rake.
Even though the MM version is by far my favorite 55, side glass was added to block out the motor works which I always found icky.
Carved from a Memorex cassette box.
Motor guts are a Skookum t-jet arm from Dragula, AFX stock magnets. Pickups are BSRT with one coil lopped off the springs. Runs a shaved front screw with a relieved guide pin hole.
Thanks fer lookin'
Fun to drive once you get used to the narrower rear track, she Blitzes the straight with gusto and just looks cool cruizin. Typical 55 LOL!
