Hello everyone! Joe's Hobby Barn and Raceway, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Will be running OVAL races beginning Oct. 21, 2007. There will be a points series for all classes for the first 4 weeks, ending on Nov. 11. There will be trophies and plaques for all participants in the series.

For those that have not been to Joe's indoor, We run a 90' flat Oval on Ozite carpet. We have AMB transponders in house, but our system doesn't support personal transponders. The first entry is $15, $10 for the second and so on. Doors open at 10am racing begins at 1:00pm. We run 2 heats and a main event. Top Qualifier in heat races will recieve 2 points. "A" Main event winner recieves 30 points, 28 for 2nd and so on....."B" main winner recieves 15 points, 13 for 2nd..... The first 3 races are for "normal" points, with the last race of the series counting for double points.

The most popular classes at Joe's are:
LEGEND 4 cell spec, spec motor,
BOMBER 4 or 6 cell, any motor, legend chassis, must cut fenders off body
TOURING CAR 6 cell, stock motor,sedan body, foam tires
RUBBER TIRE NASTRUCK 6 cell, stock motor, Nastruck body,TC Chassis, rubber tires
PAN CAR 4 cell, 13.5 NOVAK Brushless, Nascar body (NEW CLASS!!)
GEARBOX TRUCK Stadium truck,6 cell, stock motor, truck body, foam tires
1/18th SCALE- ANYTHING GOES!!!! (bring your Scalpel please!)
NOVICE "Run what you brung" If you are new to RC racing we encourage you to start in the novice class.
Joe's will run ANYTHING as long as there are 3 racers for a class!

WE NEED MORE RACERS!!!!!!

November 18th will be the "TOYS FOR TOTS" race. It is a trophy race. Admission is a new toy for toys for tots. Bring more than one if you can! I want to set a record this year for toy donations. SO PLEASE set this date aside, and plan on attending this race. :woohoo: :woohoo: It is a blast every year!

U mean there is pan car class running at Ole Buddy Joe's place??? last 3 yrs I have brought a pan car and had to park it.. nobody showed except that Busch class..LOL

Yes Moss. were running a 13.5 class now, have about five or six guy's that are comited to running it, We also had about six stadium trucks too and touring cars, legends.. Just take your pick and even some 1/18 scale sprinters, come down sometime. Don't forget NOV 18 TOY"S FOR TOT"S RACE :thumbsup:

all I'm all over it... but what to run.. last 2 yrs I have run the Legends class but need something else to run.. maybe touring or just bring out the $100.00 Spec Losi Truck and whip on them boys again!!! LOL

Ole Jerry Moss, you had better bring the best truck you got to the toys for tots race. Dad has talked me and Joe Peace out of retirement for this one. The T3 hasnt seen a track in 2 years but itll be ready, Will you!

I raced the 13.5 class sunday and had a blast. I think this class is going to work out very well at the barn.

What did you think of the new Barn look. I think its going to be great.

The barn looks great. We owe that to the Short Circuit R/C Club. You can put your stuff under the pit benches and out of the walk way. I hope you get to come Sunday. Rubber tire NASTRUCK was fun too sunday.

I'm ready for Nastruck :thumbsup: but probably have to practice with 13.5 setup and wait for batteries to come back :(

Yeah it's the same old red barn just reorganized to help the racers out. We are trying to make Joe's a better place to race and hopefully bring in more racers. The classes are growing and the racers are good people and racers.

The airplanes are still there hanging from the celing as always.... but there are shelves on the wall now were some of the stuff that was on the floor are now on the shelves.. The shelves make a good overhang for a pit light also...

That's a real bummer, moss, not making it to Toys For Tots. It's always a good time to come out and race. I'll be there for sure just like every Sunday.

Yes it's taking me some time to get back in the swing of things again in pan car. I believe I might have had a 87 or 86 lap run, I had an 11 sec pit stop due to my car body being pushed in the front from an earlier acceident. but it's hard to tell..

No I actually had the right parts to fix it. I must have bought a spare mount some time last year.

There was 3 last sunday should get more through the season. Rubber tire, Stock motor, 6 cell 4200 or less. Hope to see ya there.
