I recently found a bag of old diecast that i bought while out hunting with Dave_anto364, and dug out a couple of original Toppers. I did a little checking, and both cars are missing some parts.

A Hairy Hauler - in pretty decent shape - is missing only the upper plastic piece, the "boom" so to speak; the Wild Winner is missing almost all the plastic pieces that attach to it (front wing, engine, side pods, rear wing)

Are these worth holding on to, and are parts like these very easy to come by if I were to post on Swap 'n Sell that I'm looking for them; or did I waste my $$$ ?

Thanks.

Any topper is worth holding on to, but I have found that most of these models tend to be missing the same parts. I have seen a set of parts bring as much as a complete car.

Heap yeah, hold on to em. Nothing wrong with having a filler in your collection until you find a better specimen, :p

I got this little guy from Modsquad around a year ago, it's pretty beat up, but it's one of my fav's so it will always be around.

I think I have another Topper somewhere that I got from Dave Antonelli, a Vicious Vette???

I'll have to find that and put it with some of the old "blueberry" tires that I found at the original Topper factory that used to be here in Rhode Island. Dave and I were supposed to go there with his son's metal detector to look for some more old castings in the woods!

Oh, you GOTTA do that!!!!
The plastic parts you're looking for might be on them!
