Wasn't 1970 the last year for that?
Was '70 the only year for the yellow wheels?
Does it have labels or decals?
The box has Superfast streaks, but the Alvis is super slow! ;)

Yes - the Superfast era G Box issue was the only one to have yellow hubs - they are hard to find today compared to the green hubs with decals issue which is very common (although the very first smooth load bed issue is harder to find,I have 2 of these but no yellow wheel hub issue...) .Paper stickers replaced decals on the later green hub issues so I would not expect to find yellow hub issues with decals. In fact Lesney had completely switched form decals to labels just before the Superfast era - apart from a very small quantity of no 15 white sf VW1500 with decals I cannot off the top of my head think of any other SF castings to carry waterslide decals.
That G box does look terrific - the real Alvis is a very impressive beast that seems wider and squatter (with chunky tyres) than the Lesney

Interesting note on the proportions - I'll have to find a pic.
Similar to the Alvis, the #11 Iron Ferry Crane was another transitional sf wheel hold-out -
but strangley it was later given sf whls around '71 or so as you know.
This seems to be the only case like this in the 1-75s excluding Twin-Paks
Oh wait, did the same thing happen with the # 19 Lotus? I think so. Any others?
# 21 Foden and #34 VW Camper were other hold outs like the Alvis weren't they?
Any other non-sfs trnstnls in the '70 line up?
