The BRL is happy to announce that Hobby Talk the Official Racer Forum of the BRL is now also the Official Class Sponsor for the 17.5 Sportsman Stock Division.

From the beginning Hank Hagquist owner of Hobby Talk Forums has quietly been one of the BRL’s biggest supporters. As series owner I can not thank Hank enough for providing us with the BRL forum which has proven to be an invaluable tool for driver communications and event promotion. Without this Hanks support we would not of been able to grow so fast.

The Hobby Talk 17.5 Sportsman Stock Division is new to the BRL this year but expected to grow quickly. It offers a perfect way for brushed 27T stock racers to remain at the same speed and transition into the brushless motor world. It also serves as a good gateway to bring new racer into the hobby.

Hank commented that he is excited to be a part of this class and feels the future for oval racing is looking strong once again.

???? I have a strange question for this thread...

Has NOTHING to do w/ the 17.5 motor, instead...I want to know WHAT program is used for the LOGO to be able to create the border around the words and such?

Joe honestly I’m not sure if it something I did or if that is the way the artwork is set-up.

I simply take the .jpg that he sends me and resize it in Microsoft Picture Manager. Then post it on HT as a photo.

I’m sure there is probably a better way to do it but my computer knowledge is limited.

my 'artistic' abilities are limited too...but I'm always looking for better programs for creating logos and such. (I usually use something like MSPublisher and/or MS Image Composer) I know there are some really cool programs out there for doing lettering and stuff, I just don't know what they are. I think the VINYL guys have a few too...

WHAT DO YOU GUYS USE? PAINTSHOP PRO? FREEHAND? CORAL DRAW? Adobe ILLUSTRATOR?

SWTour....Ol' skool Adobe Illustrator. Still kicking Illustrator 8 because it does all I need it to do. Those "young kids" working downstairs are using a lot of CS and photoshop effects...but as I was raised in a time before computers, I'm slow to move on.

1-800 call Dusty.....line seems busy to me.
