I was really looking forward to this show but, frankly, I was underwhelmed. And the cast has some of my favorites (Ellen Green, Kristen Chenoweth, Chi McBride).

Perhaps the second show will allow it to settle into something I could watch every week.

This is one that has to grow on you and it has plenty of charm and humor to do just that.

There's no way to really get what amounts to a movie into one hour so the first show is a little early to make a final decision on it. I set the DVR and plan to catch some more episodes and see how it goes.

There is a lot of promise in this new show but the second episode was a terrible let down. I'll give it a few more trys just because I want to like it.

Never had plans to watch it. Saw Six Feet Under, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, and all the other shows that did the same concept slightly differently.
No thanks.

So you're saying that because there are other shows that aren't like it, you won't watch it?

So do you not watch LOST because you saw GILLIGAN'S ISLAND?

I'll say it again:

Good point, but not exactly what I'm saying.
What I'm actually saying is this: Because the conventions of this show are so overused in recent years as to be beyond cliche, it never rose above the din of white noise that is this season's scripted dramas to stand out in any way and pique my interest enough to watch.

Saw the one with the Dandelion car. Loved the characters, loved the actors, absolutely loved Kristin Chenowith almost falling out of her dress during the musical number (not an easy feat, let me tell you!), but I'm not sure how long I can take a narrator talking over every single minute of time when the characters aren't speaking.

I'll have to remember to add this to the DVR recordings. :)

I just saw on the TV guide site that PD got a pick-up for the full season, so somebody must be liking it.

I enjoy every part except the narrator. Let me count the 4,763,902 reasons why :drunk:

I have mixed feelings about this show but I'm really glad it got picked up for 2008. Pushing Daisys is the only new Sci-Fi (perhaps better coined fantasy) show this season that has kept me coming back. I gave up on Bionic Woman and Journeyman, I'm sad to say.
