View Full Version : KSG brushless li-po battery tray
BigBoyT1 10-03-2007, 02:21 AM No need to tape batteries in, ever again! New battery tray for the KSG Gen 2 has clamping system to secure your li-po batteries. Also has a larger patch for brushless speed control. If you really love that tape thing, you can use tape and place your batteries toward the inboard or outboard direction to suit your needs.
Now taking orders, $35.00 each (batteries not included) plus shipping. BigBoyToysRandy@yahoo.com
LARCGuy 10-03-2007, 03:47 AM Sweet looking tray!
Blaser 10-03-2007, 11:30 PM Now that’s just what is needed with the KSG 6 cell tray the speedo hangs off to much
Bring me one to the track on Friday night
swtour 10-03-2007, 11:54 PM I may even be willing to move my ESC to the LH side with one of these...
if/when I get a JOB - I know what I'm going to be getting...LOL
smojoe 10-11-2007, 03:10 PM Will these fit the Gen 1? If not, will you either be making one that will or know what has to be done to make it fit? Thanks

It should by the looks of it, if not nothing a dremel tool and a drill and drill bit's won't take care of
I would also like to know if it will fit a gen 1. It's a great looking part hope it can at least be converted to gen 1.
gezer2u 10-11-2007, 05:40 PM BigBoy makes some nice stuff!
Rickity Racer 10-11-2007, 06:35 PM $35?? This sounds a little more reasonable?? Still have to drill, etc.

swtour 10-11-2007, 07:00 PM ...the battery cups work too, but some people like things just a little cleaner and nicer looking. The carbon fiber trays from Randy are as sweet as everything he makes.
LARCGuy 10-11-2007, 11:31 PM The Gen1 tray is a lot wider than the Gen2. This tray won't work. Randy @ Big Boys Toys would have to make one specifically for the Gen1.
His email is at the top. Wouldn't hurt to ask!

Only problem with this is you would have no batt adjustment if needed.
smojoe 10-13-2007, 12:50 PM anyone emailed Randy?
swtour 10-14-2007, 04:46 AM ...didn't email him, but he was at my race today...running on the "Encino Velodrome"...
smojoe 10-14-2007, 03:32 PM "I'll be working on one for the Gen 1 this week. -Randy"
Good news, guys!
BIGKAHUNA 10-31-2007, 08:46 PM a123 batteries do not explode or burn. these are the batteris that should be run. that way the guy that does not know whats up can not burn the track down.
li-po man
McLin 11-02-2007, 12:34 PM Any word on the Gen I try yet?
LARCGuy 11-02-2007, 01:35 PM Randy said the drawing was coming along and he hoped to have them very soon. Will get an update from him this weekend.
Here is the thread about the Gen 2 Tray.
garacer08 01-12-2008, 11:47 PM Hey Randy been busy this week, but I got my batt tray and top plate last Sat. Man that tray is the trick! Thanks for making such a great product. The Orion 3200 fits like a glove.
BIGKAHUNA 01-15-2008, 10:39 PM max-amps has plastic covers for li-pos now. alot better battery. the wires are soldered on! will not come out like orion battery plug in wires. wait till you have one come out during a race. better tape them in. nice bats but the plug in wires suck.
