blade 10-01-2007, 08:00 AM Hey everyone, im new to this hobby talk thing, but ive been in R/C for 4 or 5 years, ive built every one of my trucks i race offroad. I was just wondering, because im thinking about getting a truggy or buggy over the winter, what would your recommendations on what to get. I am thinking that I want to get the Losi 8ight or 8ight-t cause everyone sais they are good. Thanks for your guys' help.
badassrevo 10-01-2007, 08:13 AM The Losi 8 is the way to go.

badassrevo 10-02-2007, 09:07 AM Get what ever is more popular in your area. I prefer the buggy.

BUY THE 8!!! Losi is unbeatable Quality.OFNA is JUNK!
Toiffel 10-02-2007, 03:53 PM I own a Kyosho WC 777 and a Losi 8T, in the past owned a Mugen MBX5 Prospec, and driven Jammin, Xray, Losi Buggy.
My personal preference in buggy is the Kyosho, if it's in your budget go for it, out of the box setup is great, durability & handling a++
Out of the others my other choice would be losi, great handling and performance, not so great durability.
Truggy a lot easier to drive than buggy....
Hope that helps!
blade 10-02-2007, 04:35 PM Yes, Kyosho is deffinatley unbeatable. Do they have kits for there mp777's or is it just rtr cause i prefer kits
Toiffel 10-02-2007, 04:59 PM AMAIN Hobbies is having a special on the 777 WC $599, that's the one I'm running, and I love it, started with the first 777 sp1 and stuck with Kyosho
Nitronic 10-02-2007, 06:31 PM in my past, I have owned the following buggy's, Kyosho K3 - Ofna Ultra Lx Pro - Hot Bodies Lightning and they were all great on the track for me and how I drive. They were all just as durable as the other.
For truggy I have owned a Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium Pro and that out lasted any other type of truck I owned.
But this year I decided to completely switch manufactures and I now run both Losi 8ight buggy and truggy. Some like the 8ights and others don't. Those that don't, just have difficulty to adapting to a new driving style as the Losi 8ight's do handle and drive differently than others.
Before switching over to Losi, I did keep my Hot Bodies around a little longer, but they soon became of no use to me as I learned to drive and handle the 8ight's.
Here are both the 8ights I run now......as far as durability, I have only had the need to replace one throttle servo in both. But these are racers, not bashers.......so I wouldn't really know how durable they are to be bashed on large ramps, off houses, etc like most I see do for humor and excitement in their life.
Me,...I stick to the track and haven't broken any actual Losi parts yet.

blade 10-02-2007, 09:50 PM wow those things look sweet, yeah ive had losi all my life also, ive had the xxx-nt and the xxx-nt ad1 and ad2, i havnt gotten out of .12-.15 stuff yet thats why im asking what i should get, but ive been racing for 4-5 years 1/10th scale. i never bash my trucks i just think its abuse and a waste of money. the only things ive broken on my ad2 is the pivot joint and some crappy ball studs
thats my ad2
