This weekend I've been asked to put on a exhibition race at a local car show to benefit cancer victims and survivors...

The car show has several parts inclucing some hotrods, dragsters, a "open header" cruise, a burnout competition, dinner/dance along with our rc racing exhibition.

We've dug out some old cars that we'll use for a special "Cancer Survivors Challenge" race, and we've gone with an 'Old School' theme with the old McAllister Mustang bodies...

These 'Old School' bodies always draw on lookers when ever they are on the track, and look kinda cool chasing each other around.

Special Thanks to

McDonald's of the Central Coast
Big Boy's Toys of Santa Maria
Cruzin' for Life Carshow for giving us the chance to showoff.

We'll have a few regular Oval Cars and some On-Road Racing to exhibit also...

Wow, what an impressive CAR SHOW -

The 4th Annual "Cruzin for Life" car show to benefit Cancer Victims and Survivors was a true class event. http://www.cruzinforlife.net

100's of awesome hotrods, great people, lots of vendors, and a great cause.

Today they held a HotRod BURNOUT competition with a short DRAG STRIP, Bleachers, Tree and the hole 9 yards.

The car show also does a Police escorted CRUZ through the city...Starting at the Airport (where the car show is...) travelling the entire downtown area and back.

All the traffic signals in town were disabled, and police directed traffic for this "OPEN HEADER" event. WOW - the sound of several hundred HOTRODS all cruising at 20 mph...bumper to bumper was exciting.

Our little RC exhibition drew several hundred spectators watching and cheering.

The track was a short (outside perimeter 70 x 40) oval track with 18' wide lanes.

We had 3 classes

STOCK (Nascar bodies)
NASTRUCK
TOURING CHASSIS (Any Body)

Plus we had our "Trans Am" styled MUSTANG BODIED cars - these were used for a special Cancer Survivor event and they were also loaned out for a few NEW enthusiasts to try their hand at driving a RC Car.
