Well for starters you can take the caps lock off and stop yelling. Then maybe a little punctuation and proper grammar in your posts would help too.

Don't put in big jumps. These large scale cars do not like to fly like 1/8 buggies.

putting in nice smooth rolling bumps going to be a racing track. not a car killer like most build.

i have a b5 and i will test it out if to high i will just lower it will have some jumps that you can land nice and not break a 1000.00 car.

it will take some time to get the track packed in the way i want it.

also not even opening till it is complete and ready to race.

i have talked to 100 racers that will be wanting to come and race. so i do not want to start out on the wrong foot.

and with some advertising i could make this sport go like crazy! no one evan knows that rc tracks are even around. i have been i business for 35 years on my own. i know how to make people happy.

BE NICE TO THEM. BUT BE FAIR ALSO.

there is going to be one thing the racers have to purchase to race! ( personal transponder. 90.00 ) i am not going to baby sit transponders that would cost me 150.00 each. if you can purchase a 1000.00 car you can spend a 100.00 more.

It will be you and your buddies racing. You have to tailor to 1/10 1/8 and 1/5 if you want to have a Great track. Just because it is big dosent mean 1/10 scales won't want to run on it. It just means it will be a Speed track.

BIGKAHUNA

then the 5 of us will have alot of fun! ( not buying transponders )

i will have all the local hobby shops and i will have them also for sale.

you spend 500.00 or more for a car then you can spend 100.00 for a personal or stay home and run in your back yard.

thats the rules. you want to play you have to pay! new people will learn this! the old racers want it for free. ( not going to happen )

sorry! :dude:

i race 1/4 scale nascar. this week there were 36 racers. 2 new drivers did not have a personal. they said they will have there own next week. after one of them lost the loner out of there car. it cost them a race.

be happy  it will work out

I own ALL personals and it dosent matter to me. All I am saying is what about the kid around the corner with a Traxxas Rustler that wants to race on a $10-20 a week allowence. Remember, most of us were all there once. It is fun to watch kids race. Without Kids there is no future in R.C.

Ok Dad Will Have To Kick In Some Money. :dude:

It Cost 150.00 EACH PLUS THE CHARGER X 20 IS A BUNCH OF MONEY.

Ok I Know! We Can Make A Donation Pot To Purchase The Counters. Or You Can Lend That Small Guy A Counter Of Yours.

And Yes This Is Why I Am Building The Track. For Kids Big And Small To Run There Stuff Some Where. I Am A Big Kid. Your Probly Are Also. Thats What Makes The World Go Around.

I Will Not Have The Cash To Spend On Counters Will Cost Me 10,000.00 Just To Make The Track And That Is A Gamble.

I Have A Buddy That Has A Counter And He Is Running The Races, Thats Saving Me Some Money... Counters Cost 3500.00 Minumum...plus The Transponders Of 3000.00 And The Software At 1000.00.. PLUS A COMPUTOR, Thats Alot Of Bucks...

It May End Up Being My Own Personal Track. Who Knows.

The Kid Needs A Raise.

As Soon As I Get It Close To Looking Like Something. I Need To Lay Out The Track Then Run It To See If It Is Close To What I Want. Then I Will Have Pics On Here. I Want To Get It Pretty Close Before Winter Snow. That Way It Has All Winter To Pack In And If There Are Mud Holes I Can Put Dirt In Them. Then The Rain Will Not Be A Problem, And Be Ready For Spring. Auto Sprinklers To Keep The Dust Down And Maybe Lights For Night Racing In The Hot Summer Time.

Just Think Of 230 Foot Square Area Full Of Track And I Can Double That If I Want. So Yea It Is Very Big. I Have To Run It And Make Sure You Can See The Car On The Other Side Of The Track Or I Have To Make It Closer And Shorter. The Main Thing I Want Is The Oval Track For 1/4 Scale Sprint Cars. The Off Road Is A Bonus And I Want To Run 1/5 Dirt Road Course. I Have All The Equipment To Make Jumps Or Take Them Out And It Is Not A Shovel And Rake. I Never Do Anything Small.

Small Track = Lots Of Crashes. No Banked Turns = Lots Of Crashes. Is Rc Racing Called Crashing???? No It Is Racing,,,,, Build A Track Wide And Long That You Can Race On! ( I Am ) Stay Tuned.

More Dirt Today. I May Go Out Tonight And Run It In The First Stag Just To Get Me Going.

Put Down More Dirt. Letting It Set For A Week Then Am Going To Do Some Laying Out The Track Design. Getting Closer. I Think I Need More Dirt. 50 Loads So Far.

50 semi loads of dirt. not a back yard race track.
50,000 wheel barrels of dirt.

210 x 150 foot banked oval with 90 feet more in width for oval to off road dirt. big enough for 1/4 scale sprint cars or all the way down to 1/10th scale.

no small track.!!!!!!!!! very very large track. for the dirt minded racers.

just do not know how it will turn out. using pond bottom dirt for track. hope it will pack in. looks like alot of blue grey clay. just need to see if it will pack in and not make dust. i will be working on it when i get back from s.carolina. the 29th

i can not wait to get it done myself.

Will you have a class for mini-t's? :woohoo: :woohoo:

BIGKAHUNA
10-25-2007, 05:24 PM
Will Run Anything If You Bring. We Will Be Running Alot Of Classes Together. Just Like The Big Guys Do. So You May Run Against 1/10th Scale Cars.

Mini-t On This Track Will Be Lots Of Fun If You Can Keep Them Straight. 150 Foot Straights Are Big.

Get A Personal Amb Transponder. We Are Running All Personals. The Lap Counter Will Be Setup To Run Automaticly. When It Says Go It Will Not Stop. Each Class Will Be Controlled By The Lap Counter. Probly 10 Min Between Heats. We Will Run Electric, They Will Be All Li-po Batteries, If You Want To Run Ni-mh Thats Up To You. But Ni-mh Will Not Last.

Winter Is Real Close. So The Track Construction Will Grind Down.

Will Keep You Informed As We Continue.

Buying All The Wood This Winter So We Can Keep The Construction Going.

oh i thought you were building a offroad track with jumps... now that i reread it i see you want sprint car oval....

BIGKAHUNA
10-27-2007, 02:02 PM
the track will be banked oval with off road with jumps integreated into it. will run boh the oval and the off road all at one time.. it will be very big.... but the jumps will be long and smooth. maybe a hill climb involved in the track. not the car breaker type. i am not into rebuilding cars. keep them running and lets race. coming soon. kid kahuna will be the race director. he is keeping an eye on me. save you money. will will have a blast next summer.

The More I Read Hobby Talk The More I Think About Not Making A Track. Alot Of Cry Babies Out There. I Will Probly Make One But Not Putting Alot Of Money Into It Till I See If I Get Good People Or Cryers. I Am Not A Sitter.

I Want My Own Place So I Can Run My Own Cars Anyway. Do Not Need The Money. Yea Right What Money. More Like Expense Tohave Fun And Let Other People Race.

Lets See What I Get From This. 20.00 Entry Fees Per Class. But Pay Outs From It. Not Just A Pat On The Back.

No matter you what you do, you will never, ever please everyone. So take the advice from an old Ricky Nelson song......" See, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself " (For you young squirts, that's from a song called Garden Party)

Anyway, you have a dream of building this great oval/offroad track that you and maybe some others can enjoy..........GOOD FOR YOU! I would love to see a track like this in the area. Both for oval and offroad guys. I like the idea of a big, wide open offroad, something that guys starting out or wanting to add some extra running with their oval racing can provide. Tight, technical courses are for guys, after they get comfortable and some experience. And I'm an oval guy, so a big, fast, wide dirt oval would be up my alley.

As far as entry fee's, personnals and Li-po's, if those are the track rules, so be it. Racers always find a way to get the money/equipment they need if they really want to run at a track.

So good luck with the project and hope you can get it going next year!

i will build the tracks. it will take some time. i want it my way and thats nice.
i am making some drawings, putting on paper and looking at alot of other tracks to get ideas.
our golf course just got a beer license. so we will have food and beverages and a sports bar.

i need to make the controll tower and the driver stands and i want a roof over it to keep the sun out. i think i can make the controll tower in the middle of the 2 tracks and run off road and oval form one place. if i am good i can run off road and then oval and atternate. or i may just get to counters and run both at same time. with the new spectrum recievers can run 99 cars at one time and more and more people are getting them.

need to lay it out so the sun does not get in your face in the late hours of the day. last year was so hot, and i think it will be that way every year till we fry.

just an update. i like to hear good things keeps me into building it. i just want my own track and would be nice to have a bunch of nice guys and gals to race with.

Thats awesome , you build your track the way you want !!! I love it , people are amazing they want it this way they want it that way the jumps are to big the jumps aren't big enough i'm cold i'm hot i don't like nitro i don't like electric , who frickin cares let them try to absorb the staggering amount it takes to build maintain and run a track really is . BIGKAHUNA my hat is off to ya congrats on being able to take on such a project , and even though i may never make it out to your track Thank You for building it and expanding the hobby that much further . in my opinion Tom B.

kahunna, your right there are a lot of whiners out there, but remember that those people are usually the ones that dont stay in the sport for very long. Those guys usually go back to playing their video games that they can win at without having to do any real work on set-up or driving.dont let it discourage you though. Just remember that for every one of those types there are about 5 real racers that want to go out and have fun running together. even while practicing not just on race day.I like the pay-out idea, but heres one to throw back at you and it would be better for your wallet. Still do a pay-out but put it in the form of a credit toward your next entry fee. It will draw people out and keep them coming back! Do like a 10.00 for a first a 7.00 for second and a 5.00 for third payback towards the next entry fee.

thanks guys for the nice words. hope you can come out and race some day! i am going to try my best to make it to the tracks around the usa at least one time.

freddies ashalt track in ravenna is a great place to race. but i see there are alot of other ones around that look pretty good also.

would be nice to have the sport get bigger and the young crowd come out and race on a rc track and keep it off the roads. when i was a kid it was cool to go race on the streets. but now with a couple million more cars on the road it is not good to go fast any more. time changes and that sucks for kids! so i hope i can get the kids that want to go fast out here on the rc track and keep them safe.

keep up the support and get kids interested, i have seen a couple great kids come race 1/4 scale and they love it. i know this sport would be great just need some tv support for free, to let them know it is even out there to do.

Is there still going to be a Late Model 1/4 scale class? I heard some talk about it at the tracks last year but have not heard anything lately. This is my second year in 1/4 scale and would be interested in the dirt class also.
Thanks for the track.

I Am Still At Work I Hope I Did Not Do Something Stupid.

Any Way The Track Is Going To Be In Warren Ohio. Where Are You Located???

I Am Building A Oval Dirt Track. Just Do Not Know When It Will Be Complete. It Has To Be In Nice Shape Before I Open It.

Will Have A Off Road For 1/4 And 1/5 Off Road Cars And Smaller. I Like The Big Boys With Zanoah Motors. Like The Hpi B5 And The Are Others Out There Also. I Am Going To Get A 1/4 Scale Off Roader Also.

They Are Awsome. I Think Once I Get The Track Complete I May Not Race Black Top Any More. Maybe Once In A While.

I Will Keep Posting On Here As I Get Futher Completed In The Spring.

Just Opened A Bar On The Area. There Is A Golf Course Also.

So We Will Have The 2 Race Tracks And Golf And A Sports Bar. Should Be Some Fun.
