View Full Version : CEFX Parts Support!!!!!!!!
PANCAR17R 09-26-2007, 06:24 PM Seem to be having a big problem getting parts for a car kit that has not been out for very long. Have been trying to get a CEFX 1/10 scale kit for 5 months, finally gave up, Someone sends ma a e-mail saying that he has a used car he is looking to get rid of, so I purchased this car, so now that I have it, in order to race it I want to get some spare parts. t-plat/bumper ect. Called CEFX today and Josh's father inlaw{who answers the phone all the time with not much for answers} said that Josh was out of town for a big race again!!!!! but also was able to tell me that Josh recently started a new 1/12th scale project. Seems to me it would be more profitable to finish one project before you start another!!! Where do I give up on this guy? Car seems very nice but if I cant get parts do I move on? Maybe someone should let Josh know how much of a headache he is causing for what could be his very good custermers!!!!!
Bill Johnson 09-26-2007, 06:34 PM Yeah, Josh is at a little race in Vegas... :hat:
Get ahold of Mike Valentine, he possibly could help you with some T-Plates, but doubtful with the bumpers, since I don't think he has any spares.... :dude:
tw78911sc 09-26-2007, 08:12 PM I remember reading Josh also just had their 2nd child so I'm sure his wife is not at the shop either, otherwise she could assist. Just bad timing, don't give up on him.

JeffPatch29 09-27-2007, 07:13 AM if you send me the bumper or a drawing of the bumper I could hook you up for a decent price. Not trying to undercut Josh, but if someone needs something and it helps you keep the car until Josh gets back from Vegas, it might be something worth looking into. It is a very well designed car, and I would hate to see someone give it up because of something like this. Josh is a great guy, and I am sure he will make things right as soon as he is back at the shop and has some time. PM me on here if you are interested.
PANCAR17R 09-27-2007, 08:09 AM Appreciate the offers for help but I think ive been patient enough, used to have a trinity reflex and couldnt get parts for that either. Never seemed to be any fun wondering when I might get the stuff I needed. Just to let you guys know its been 5 months of waiting for him to get back from races, get over being sick, doctors appointments, cnc being broke, but now that I know that hes started another project and hes never finished the oval one, well that just finishes the deal for me. Also just how serious can your business be when you have someone answering your business phone and the only response he can give is im not sure about that I will try to get him to get back to you. Dont mean to be so harsh but if I was just told we cannot do that for you I would have moved on along time ago, but I was made promises and given dates as to when I would get stuff and never saw any thing. The car is on swap and sell if anyone is interested.
CBear3 09-27-2007, 09:41 AM Got one, ordered a host of T-Plates after I snapped the first one pretty quickly. Angel runs the business side of things, but yeah it did take a week or two to get the ball rolling. The two of them have always been very pleasant, but obviously distracted because they have so much going on, even more so with a second child now.
A buddy of mine has tons of parts for that car.If you need some parts I can get ahold of him shoot me a address I can get them out to you.I know Josh has been busy.Let me know.............

JH Racing 09-28-2007, 10:57 AM When I asked about one of these cars I was told to go to my local hobby shop.
DustinB 09-29-2007, 11:50 AM I think any more its hard to get a new pan car anywhere. Or even spare parts.

I can tell you that when you go to any track that races oval which is where I will be racing, they will have associated/hyperdrive/ksg/custom works parts they are what I believe are the serious oval companies. Just to let you know here in North East there is a few tracks that are very serious about oval racing, after about the 4th month of waitng for a car I called one of these tracks and asked them if they stocked parts for the cefx, and the owner told me that he didnt stock parts for any of the fly by night manufactures because it just turns into a headache. But after telling him my situation he said give me the number and I will e-mail them, because if he is any kind of business man then it would be in his best interest to get back to him. Well guess what, he got the same response I got, NONE!!!!!
J-Dub Racing 09-29-2007, 01:10 PM Alright guys this isn't really constructive. Josh is a good guy, lets just let this one rest. We have all had to wait for parts no matter the company.
DustinB 09-29-2007, 02:21 PM I have nothing against cefx i am just saying with all the companys building cars its hard to get spare parts or even car kits.
hussel7 10-23-2007, 09:24 PM According to talking to Josh, face to face, T-plates are cut and Kits are available.
ohiorcracer 10-23-2007, 09:48 PM I have had no problems getting parts from Josh. He usually pretty prompt when I order something.
DustinB 10-24-2007, 01:21 AM i dont see the oval cars on his site?
