stesh 09-25-2007, 08:49 PM I am in for Spec 4-cell Truck/4300 & maybe one other class. the other class would be 13.5 not 10.5
briano_72 09-25-2007, 08:49 PM your gonna juggle 3 cars ?? nice !!
briano_72 09-25-2007, 08:53 PM i only got 2 cars and ones the truck, if no one runs 17.5 ill run 13.5, but i wanna run the 17.5 in brl, so ill run it there too. jw will speak for himself soon
if work allows i'll race. 10.5.
Lohrr1 09-25-2007, 09:25 PM Brian,
Count me in for 13.5/LIPO COT, Indy, & Stadium Truck.
Rick
LOQUTUS 09-25-2007, 11:38 PM i'm for the stadium truck. rick and i had a talk about stadium trucks on saturday and we both think brushless is the way to go. i couldn't figure out what motor, i guess the 5800 will do. i have to get one though. i'm glad i work at a hobbie shop. :)
i'm for the sedan class too. i just need to get another speed control.
Lohrr1 09-26-2007, 06:14 AM No spec truck for you Rick?
3 classes are more than enough. If we don't have enough entries for one of the other classes I'll switch to spec truck.
Rick
briano_72 09-26-2007, 12:33 PM hes more worried about being ready for the on road nats, not our oval race !!
NUZUM 09-26-2007, 12:37 PM 4cell 4300!!!!
briano_72 09-26-2007, 02:03 PM i hope im not over stepping my boundrys here, but i think tony will agree with me, we need not to worry about haveing 5 cars per class. if anything id say we need 5 cars pre-registered ( weather it be here or actually pre paid is up to the higher gods ) to get plaques or trophies for each class. its the begining of the year, its a new track, lets let whoever wants drive on it try it out. if there is 2 or 3 of one class, so be it. we need to invite racers, not scare em away !! if anyone wants a mini brushless class too, that would be neat !!
HERBBIESIZED 09-26-2007, 04:50 PM I will be there and will run Indy also Matt Perry Fred coulbourne will be running in the Indy Car class I will also be In the COT Class if I can find a motor to use :woohoo: Thanks Herbbie
LOQUTUS 09-26-2007, 10:48 PM Hey Tony call up that pill popping, bionic knee using old geezer and see if he is racing anything.
i will, just don't bust him
Lohrr1 09-28-2007, 11:13 PM Brian, you need to add Herbbie to the Indy class.
Rick
penny 09-28-2007, 11:51 PM In the 4-cell spec nastruck class you say 4300/10.5 pro. Does that mean the novak velocity ss 10.5 pro motor? Also in the stadium truck you say 5800 motor, is that the same as the 8.5 ss pro? Also in the stadium truck class what speed controls are allowed ?
briano_72 09-29-2007, 08:19 AM if you read what you just typed in the first line, you asked is the 10.5 pro is the same as the 10.5 pro. and yes, nowadays, the 5800 is called the 8.5, the pro version would be fine. sintered rotors are allowed in any class, the 13mm "tuning" sintered rotors are not allowed in any class.
penny 09-29-2007, 09:32 PM I know they still make the 4300 and the ex 10.5 , so you can run the 10.5 pro in the spec nastruck. What speed controls in the stadium truck class?

you can use any speed control as far as i'm concerned. i really don't think one has an advantage over another. so lets say for stadium truck, 5800/8.5 and any speed control.
losi888 09-29-2007, 10:24 PM Are there any pictures of the Track any where.

briano_72 10-01-2007, 10:10 PM hey boys, one big reminder, brl rules for 13.5 and 17.5 classes, no rear body cut outs !!!! cot can be cut out, 10.5 can be cut out. and nastruck we were allowed last year, so im sure we will be this year too.
Lohrr1 10-01-2007, 10:17 PM hey boys, one big reminder, brl rules for 10.5 and 13.5 classes, no rear body cut outs !!!! cot should not be cut out either, but its not under brl rules, and nastruck we were allowed last year, so im sure we will be this year too.
Brian,
Since this was going to be an ARCOR race and the ARCOR rules allowed the COT to be cut out, some of us already have cut out bodies. Any other rules changes we should know about such as wing mounts etc?
Rick
briano_72 10-01-2007, 10:23 PM i thought you guys left the cot bodys whole ? i wasnt making rule changes, it was just a reminder, im sure alotta guys read over the body cut out rule on the brl list. rear body cut out is fine with the cot cars, and as long as the wing is close to how its supposed to be with height, any wing mounts are fine. the ones that come with the car last one heat of that !!!
BRhodes 10-01-2007, 11:59 PM I thought the rear could be cut out for 10.5 in BRL???
briano_72 10-02-2007, 08:19 AM your right, i made a boo boo. i fixed it.
AStephens 10-02-2007, 05:41 PM your right, i made a boo boo. i fixed it.
you are a boo boo hahahahahaha.   :drunk:
Sonny B 10-03-2007, 01:40 AM Hi guys,
Not sure exactly what rules package you are using for each class at this race but just to help you clear up any confusion regarding the BRL body rules.
- In 10.5 it is legal to cut the back of the body out and run a wing.
- For all other classes (17.5, 13.5, 13.5 Master Truck) The back of the body must remain intact with a 3/4" spoiler (no wings)
Good luck with the Brushless Nats. I hear you guys have an awesome track and we look forward to our first trip to Steel City in March
