I'm going to put this question here since I'm not sure where to put it.

Can anybody tell me what kind of rubber the original AFX skinny front tires were made from (e.g. neoprene, buna-n, silicone, etc.)?

I have no idea what recipe Aurora used for these, but check out Jag Hobbies, Slotcar Central, or Slotcar Johnnies and you can get some NOS tires to dissect and examine.

Well then, maybe I'll just buy 365 Trojans for use in making a tire. I'll melt them all down and make a Goodyear. Get it? Good year? 365?

Is this thing on?

Ahem. Anyway, bluerod more or less hit it with the washer thing. I see guys selling washers on the bay so I checked with MSC and I can get 100 of the correct size for anywhere from $2 to a little under $6 depending on what type of material I want. Silicone is just under $6.

Ehhhhh. I'll just give it a shot.
