I am lucky enough to own almost all of the castings with the legend ´WHIZZWHEELS´on the baseplate. Here are the Ford Cortina major varitions with the very rare Ford Europe promo model in caramel plus my alltime favourite the Jaguar XKE in 4.2 and 5.3 V12 versions (4.2 also made in red, V12 also made in metallic orange)

Here is a rare example of a toy looking much better than the real car. The Marcos Mantis was a fibreglass low slung 4 seater sports car made in very small numbers in England from 1968.I dont know who made the engine but the company had a habit of picking major manufacturer´s engines (mini Marcos had a Morris Cooper engine, Marcos Volvo also form Corgi had a Vovo engine although this shell graduated to a Rover V8 for 1990s production....)
The Citroen Maserati had a superbly handsome body and interior but was plagued with mechanical issues which devalued the car so much that many owners resorted to re-engining the cars with American built engines.Corgi sure picked some very funky colors for their model - the blue seats dont go well with the paint but it was never issued in any other colors as far as I know

Those Masi V-6s had soft cams I heard. They'd go to about 30,000 mi. and turn to crap.
They put them in Volvos around '86. Deloreans had them too as did the Bora possibly.
Other cars too.
A real bummer of an engine!
Too bad - those SMs are way cool.
