Hello to you all. The other day I bought the computer game "Dirt" for my laptop and I installed it, after it was finished, I went to play the game but it would never start. The farthest it got was when I would click on the desktop icon, a window would pop up and say that it was checking the disc and the window would disapear and that would be it. I even took my laptop into the place where I bought the game and they couldn't even figure it out. I bought the game for my computer, because all I have is a ps-2, and of course they didn't make it for that. Thanks in advance for any Help!!!

first check your sytem reqirements against the game, second if your system meets or exceeds the required specs uninstall and reinstall the game, there are a couple of things that could be wrong here and system specs would help. first your system is not compatible with the recommended specs required for the game and second is that the game did not install correctly. another thing to try is uninstall game run an antivirus program (scan your system) and fix anything it finds then reinstall your game. try this and let me know how it goes.

It seems that your laptops GFX is under the requriements. Thats what happens when you try to play BF2 on an MX440.

I re-tried a couple different times and I keep coming up with same thing, even after trying to load it on a computer with XP on it. I gave it up and took back the game. I guess if I want the game bad enough, I will have to buy a 360 or a ps-3. Ya right. Thanks for your help anyway.

if your graphics was the cause of the problem you could have upgraded your video card. i run a evga 8800 gts 640 mb so everything i have will works as well as some of the new stuff.

You should actually try to read the post and stop bragging about your system. FYI the GT's came out and the GTS is considered crap. G92's may come back, but GTX and GT are for now.

It's a laptop. Unless it's dedicated, I see no way of upgrading *ahem*...

you are obviously not familiar with laptops then are you? they CAN be upgraded and as for the gts being crap how do you know?, do you have one? i bet you are running ati which is complete garbage, and bound to get worse now that they are owned by amd which is so far behind i doubt they will catch up. you may also want to read specs from know on before you insult someone. best bang for the buck is a gts be it 320 or 640 unless you are rich and have 600.00 + on a video card. the gts will be good enough for games and vista.
