Picked up a 1/18 scale 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible in a sky blue color at Sam's Club with all the other Maisto models that they carry during this time of year. I recognized it as a former Bburago mold. As I haven't taken it from the package yet for fear of maybe having to return it, I was wondering if any of you have bought similar transition models and if they have been modified any by Maisto as a result of their recent acquistion?
One sore point I have with Bburago is the usual chroming of all the engine parts, making the engine detail look way too unrealistic and crass. Has Maisto done away with this aspect?
Hopefully Maisto will improve on the molds and have the Bburagos come up to the usually better Maisto standards and quality control.
