I have a question for all of you. I am a new member. I collect mainly matchbox and hot wheels but there is one majorette I would love to obtain again. I have a large vw collection and when I was a kid in the 70's I had a vw van that had the opening door in the back and it was hot pink in color. Over time I lost that car and I would love to get another one preferably in mint condition. I have searched eBay and have not seen one. Do any of you have one or know where I may get one?

Do you have a picture?, or a link to a picture of this?.

A Majorette is a woman in a sequined suit who waves a baton and walks before a marching band in a parade. :)
Hence the early slogan "Majorette leads the parade."
Majorette is a company in France that has been making nice-looking die cast toys since the early 60s. Originally they had the equivalent of Matchbox regular wheels and were called "Rail Route." By the mid-60s the name changed to Majorette and in the early 70s the firm introduced "speed wheels." Early vehicles were based on European models such as the Bernard truck, although a few US models, such as a Plymouth police car and a somewhat misshapen Dodge tow truck, were always in the series as well.
The toys are currently made in China and difficult to find in US stores, but they are still available, evidently, in some other countries.

No, I don't sorry. I wish I did because a lot of other people seem to not remember a pink vw van by majorette.
