I just had a silly idea tell me what you think, you get an old microwave with a turntable, remove the magnetron and the electronics and direct wire the turntable motor to the proper voltage sourse most likly 110 ac, remove the door and put a sheet on the box with some duct tape and a few pieces of wood to hold it up. plug it in and model rotates as you spray. So what do you think, genius or a real dud of an idea?

Not a bad idea.. But a box with a lazy susan and two computer fans attached to a window duct takes the smell right out the window for you.. The MW will have a vent and fan on the back so you can adapt it that way and keep the TM happy, no more " Are you spraying paint in there again? Its is stinking up the house! Now go tot he store and get me more nail polish remover so I can cover up the smell."

Or you can get one of those plastic round turn tables (i believe they're for cakes) made by Rubbermaid and take the "electric" issue out of the equation. Used one for models and slots. Approximately 14" diameter and sits about 3/4" high. :) rr

I spent a bit of time yesterday looking for the thread that went with those pictures but couldn't find it. I have a server script that sniffs out JPG images from my old BBS and that's how I found those. Both timer conversions done by members of my BBS quite a while ago. The one in the yellow box was done by Kevin Barnsdale and I do know how to get a hold of him if you want information.
The timers will start and stop the track for timed races. You have to count laps some other way.
