i do not doubt that c-low we are just stating that pics would be great, IMHO (being a system builder) i prefer intel seeing as how amd processors are so far behind, also on a not vista 64 bit is alot more stable than vista 32 bit. if this processor is not a dual core then you are reduced to 32 bit vista, or going back to xp on it which is the better choice of the 2, if it was a dual core you could move to 64 bit vista which is better than 32 bit vista for stability. so again pics please.

So..... he now say's duo core but we know that's better on an intel chip only and this is an amd not an intel duo core processor or mother board!

According to the model and even the case itself it's the amd and at a factory retail msrp new price of 499.99 that's not really a great deal on an open and used system with no factory direct new warrenty on it either since we all know msrp doesn't reflect the actual price a new one could be had for at a best buy or circut city probably somewhere in the area of 369.00 to 389.00 at a store on sale or even cheaper new now on e-bay besides!

And..... it's not all that great as a laptop either just read the review!

Personally i wouldn't pay or trade more than 250.00 for a used out of warrenty and out of the box used laptop that is an AMD and not an Intel Processor system sorry!

But that's just my opinion since an Intel Duo Core Processor can be had new on tiger direct from 299.00 and up and on a much better and fuller featured system with the extra's usually include as an incentive to buy from them anyway and with a factory new warrenty included also!

So... Take It From A Computer Tech For What It's Worth!

i see it showing core duo in the thread yet i see and amd sticker and the amd sticker does not even show that the processor is a dual core at all, no offense madmarty bt this could be deemed price bashing however my next statement could be considered the same. this laptop looks like the one my local wal-mart has for 498.00 however, the one at wal-mart is a dual core amd and it has a 160 gig HDD and 2 gigs of memory. since i build desktops and just went through hell and more cost than i should have spent refurbishin a toshiba tecra 8000 (P2 300 mhz laptop i could tell you that although this laptop would be good for someone i would not go for it for a trade value of 150.00 there is a pc shop here that sells laptops with the equivelent of a Pentium D cpu for 150.00 out the door and offers a 90 day warranty. i am not trying to insult, flame or bash our friend here i would just like to help him out so he posts correct info about this laptop. his asking price is irrelevent seeing as how someone might be willing to pay this price (things are worth what someone is willing to pay after all). case in point there is a guy here who claims that the toshiba tecra 8000 laptops still bring 500.00 to 600.00 (although i do not see this).if spy hunter want to get a correct secription he can go to dells site and search for it by model number but as i have stated someone may be willing to pay his asking price.:thumbsup:

Oh... i agree with you 100% but it's the fact that he did not provide a model number in the begining nor a correct full description or pic's of it either which is at least a slight misrepresentation of the item which is needless to say seeming a bit shady and also against this boards rules thus why i suggested he post the model information and some pic's of his laptop!

It seem's he alway's seem's to leave out important detail's on item's such as model number's and pic's etc.... hmmmm......???

This has been a practice of his on all the forum's of which he is a member and i being the co-founder and second admin of RCMX ( radio control monster xtreme ) have pointed these things out to him for some time now!

It been well let's see probably close to 2 years now and he doesn't seem to one like to hear or care what anyone say's to him!

Two likes to act shady and not give full and correct info. in his ad's and generally throws a fit if things don't go his way without retort and generally dislikes anyone to point out his inacurate posting's to him!

If you notice the member he came out in his behalf also lives very close to his location thus probably a friend also!

I have followed his trading and posting habits for quite a while now and have also traded with him with no real complaints so far myself allthough i have been called and had to step in on several occasions to resolve major conflicts involving trades between him and other fellow r/c members both on my board and others!

And this much i can tell you if you tell him you decided against a deal as idid the last time he will throw a tantrum and come out and flame you all over the place as he did to me on rcu...!!!

He is definitly a tool and someone to be carefull in dealing with both him and his son's share accounts and do r/c trading so you can never tell who you are actually dealing with!

And... like i said he has bashed me for not wanting to go ahead in a deal with him like a child saying oh i allready packed it etc.... blah blah blah!

And then proceeding to curse at me in e-mail and bash me in my post's and this isin't the first time that i've pointed out a flaw to him in his post!

But i feel someone needs to look out for the other r/c members and this type of thing being allowed to go on as it constitutes false representation of an item and a trade / sale on the forum etc.....!!!

So.... with that there is my take on mr. spyhunter in a nut-shell and i don't really like to have to come out about people in the forums!

But some people just take the cake and need a little reality check sooner or later i guess so here is his wake up call... oh well allen you asked for it!

And to others watch as he probably will throw another raging childish tantrum now in pm and e-mail i'll keep you all posted!

Of course if he had been more forth coming as he should be and not contiually acted this way and had not gotten me involved by having several other people having to call me for help by having stress in dealing with him in the past!

And then bashing me himself and acting totally childish constantly and e-mailing me and cursing at me etc... it really might not have come to having to do this!

But... oh well sooner or later the truth will always have to come out about certain people that continually keep acting this way with other r/c members and causing all this unessessary garbage and stress with other members on the r/c boards!

So... mr.spyhunter say what you will but we know the truth and no i don't loose any sleep over you or my trades either but i do notice with at least 2 bad trader feedback's on rcu there must be something to the story here don't you think!

and i'm sure if i asked those members who will never deal with you again to come out and say why they would not they would have no problem as they have said so on the phone to me in conversation's plenty of times!

You are not a moderator nor an admin anywhere you have always been well in the begining i thought you to be a decent trader and with all your latest antic's and the personal reports of them to me well who knows now!

And i have no bad feedback's unlike you and i also have great feedback's on all my deals period!

So... slander away but i have the backing and the proof as i mentioned before as i unlike you alway's do my homework so don't consider this harrassment just letting other members know the type of person that they are dealing with and why there is very little if no information about your items and no pic's and what they may face in dealing with you that's all!

And... as i have not came out on you before maybe it's over due and is time to let them know!

marty well i look at it like this there are those that are interested in it and i see his rcu feedback as 2 negative the rest good, and on this site he has 8 feedback and you have 2 so if we just go by the number he wins hands down.

True... unless your me as an admin who has gotten all the phone calls from members in distress and stressed out in deals with him in the past to present and had to call him on his actions and antics before several times like i've had to!

Then.. you start to count all those times too as i've had to so like i said it starts to ad up and with the personal experiences myself and everything else i've heard and dealt with along with the other people who have had problems not even mentioning the 2 on rcu it starts to tally up a bit more and fast!

So... i agree with your analogy of what you see here but only to a point as i've been watching and dealing with his antics for a couple of years now and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

Say what you will but i'll tell you what deal with him yourself and then it will be cause and effect in action really i'm just looking out for the r/c community as a whole let's try to remember that!

spyhunter just let it go bro it is obvious he is not worth it, i mean you have said nothing in this thread for awhile. he is the one that keeps posting about your feedback and such. spyhunter just be the bigger and better man and let it go, it is not worth getting upset over. overall you had a good deal with the laptop, the only reason i did not jump on it is because of my preference for intel based systems. there were a few that showed interest in it and i think you should repost it for those that would like to make a deal with you on it. if marty keeps bothering you report it to a mod so they may deal with it. just my .02
