Let us know who all is going to be at this event. More important if your bringing a trailer with you. We need to know how many spaces to block for trailers right out front of the track.

Right now it looks to be all of TBRC in attendance

If my 13.5 motor comes in on time I will be there. I am going to retire from brushed racing I think and just ordered my 13.5 from Thunder Road today.

I have a 4300 if anybody else is brave enough (aka crazy enough) to try it at the Martinsville of RC. lol...

TBRC1
09-24-2007, 12:00 AM
I'm guessing 4 cell brushed stock and 13.5. I wish I had that kind of pull. I just offered my services as the tech man. Then as the racer count got bigger my buds on the team helped out.

Sounds fun Doug!

Toby,

I have one last question for you. Are you using BRL runs for Brushless? Since I am just starting out in 13.5 I only have one body painted with the rear bumper installed. That body is reserved for the Ovalmasters. Will a body with the rear cut out pass tech for 13.5? I don't having the body cut out would be any advantage on the Glen Burnie track but your the tech man.

I guess that was actullay two questions huh.

Thanks,
Harold

TBRC1
09-25-2007, 07:04 PM
I think the bodies can be like the old brushed stock bodies were. All I want to see is 4 and 1/4 from table to top of roof. If the rear is in or if it's out I don't see any advantage ........................unless you have the black # 3 behind you :D

To be honest I do not know why we all cut the backs of our bodies out anyhow. In an rc article YEARS ago there was a test done in a tunnel with the back left and and cut out.
The data shows that with the back of the body left in, not only was there less drag, but it created more downforce.

Thanks Toby.

Jamie,

I've often thought it couldn't make much difference neither. The only thing I can figure is somewhere along the line some "Fast" guy did it so we all feel like we have to. lol...

Try running on Trax 70 with the back in on a windy day. I cant explain why but the cars are much more stable.

I will try to be there to open up at 9:00......Racing to start at 1:00......Plan on 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 as start time for heats.....Mains, if all goes well will start at 4:30.....Hope this answers any questions........Please plan your day accordingly with the start times....Hopefully this will allow plenty of time between rounds to prepare cars and get something to eat or drink.....Looking forward to seeing you all there and hope your day with us is enjoyable.
