Wes cagee 09-14-2007, 03:26 PM He needs to use that to call for help. Thats just wierd but the wierdest thing is he'll probably sell it. *MAYHEM* 09-14-2007, 04:24 PM Dragula really needs that for people to call him on. ;) mking 09-14-2007, 05:30 PM here: Dragula 09-14-2007, 05:32 PM In the 60's,the people who made those phones used the same injection colors as Aurora, this is old knowledge among us useless gearheads. DRAGjet SplitPoster 09-14-2007, 07:25 PM Drag, not only same colors, same material, (cyclobac?) right? That is why there are turquoise cars.... Of course you take the original phone, polish it, apply stickers and dip the case in future..... can it now be entered in the custom contest? And to think, many people would have thrown a rotary phone away. I wouldn't want to mess with the originality though, that is a rare olive green original, a #2 in the Beers book..... Gives a new meaning to "speed dial"... GO SPEED DIALER, GO SPEED DIALER, GO SPEED DIALER GO! oh, enough already. noddaz 09-14-2007, 07:30 PM No thanks, but you see I already have a phone like that... (Said in my best fake French accent) Scott Dragula 09-14-2007, 08:12 PM Same exact material, thats how some of the old school repair guys used to fix hacked wheel wells. DRAGjet  Drag, not only same colors, same material, (cyclobac?) right? That is why there are turquoise cars.... Is this true? If its just good for repairs maybe I should sell pieces of it. T-Jet Racer 09-14-2007, 08:59 PM http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Painted-Olive-Green-Slot-Car-Phone_W0QQitemZ250164705421QQihZ015QQcategoryZ776Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Your just jelous that you dont have one HA HA HA HA!!! rudykizuty 09-15-2007, 08:07 AM Someone had waaaaay too much time on their hands. Seems to me that their time could have been much better spent doing other silly things like improving their track, or tuning their cars, or how about this one?.........RACING!!! joez870 09-15-2007, 11:47 AM I am guessing....just guessing, mind you, that the seller has two of them. He is just keeping one for himself! I think it is really cool, hey! I used to speed dial on the old phone and my mother would get so mad! I would dial in for a radio contest. Whip it around, drag it back, whip it around, drag it back....,"Joseph, you are going to wear out the dialer!" :D And of course, doing that and getting a buisy signal for the 12th time, I would eventually get a friction burn on my dialer finger and have to switch! LOL! Man-o-man, the memories that get dragged up from the recessess of the old cob-webbed memory...... vaBcHRog 09-15-2007, 12:10 PM Someone should buy it mount 4 TJET chassis under it and drive it around a 4 lane track :) Roger Corrie Bill Hall 09-15-2007, 02:09 PM LOL, we still keep a rotary in both moms' and our house. When the power goes down out here on the final frontier, the fancy smanchy digitized Wall Wart powered units are disabled. Old faithful works great! I guess olive and black are probably the desireable colors.....Lessee, there was also the icky lookin' salmon tone, tan, white, ivory, turquoise, brown. Any others? Based on my goop experiments one of those old phones should make about 1 quart of brushable repair goop and a whopping 1/2 gallon of spray-able. Always wanted to spray up an olive or black Willy's, same with the Hot Rods. Think the AFX four gear "A" bodies might look great in a retro Olive overcoat. How about a salmon 63 Vette? LOL. coach61 09-15-2007, 04:43 PM How about a salmon 63 Vette? LOL. Stop it right now, that is not acceptable behavior.. :p Or I come to chat Wednsday night swinging low... :woohoo: Coach A/FX Nut 09-15-2007, 05:37 PM [QUOTE=SplitPoster]Drag, not only same colors, same material, (cyclobac?) right? That is why there are turquoise cars.... The reason why that material was used is because the Vibrator chassis got very warm to hot. That type of plastic has a higher melting temperature than plastic. Randy. bobhch 09-15-2007, 06:46 PM Here is the link to his "me" page. Hey guys he is one of us...a wacked out slot junkie! lol http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=fallerman99 Bob...zilla sethndaddy 09-15-2007, 09:54 PM gotta love a slot car junkie roadrner 09-16-2007, 09:57 PM I'm sure Bill is still thinking about the amount of Aurora goo that phone could make for his projects. Don't be surprised if a bid shows up in the last moments. :freak: :) rr vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
