Of course you take the original phone, polish it, apply stickers and dip the case in future..... can it now be entered in the custom contest? And to think, many people would have thrown a rotary phone away.

I wouldn't want to mess with the originality though, that is a rare olive green original, a #2 in the Beers book.....

I have a wall phone in that color I was tempted to try and sell in the slot section because I heard they can be used to bootleg the rare cars.

Someone had waaaaay too much time on their hands. Seems to me that their time could have been much better spent doing other silly things like improving their track, or tuning their cars, or how about this one?.........RACING!!!

I used to speed dial on the old phone and my mother would get so mad!
I would dial in for a radio contest. Whip it around, drag it back, whip it around, drag it back....,"Joseph, you are going to wear out the dialer!" :D
And of course, doing that and getting a buisy signal for the 12th time, I would eventually get a friction burn on my dialer finger and have to switch! LOL!

Man-o-man, the memories that get dragged up from the recessess of the old cob-webbed memory......

Someone should buy it mount 4 TJET chassis under it and drive it around a 4 lane track :)

LOL, we still keep a rotary in both moms' and our house. When the power goes down out here on the final frontier, the fancy smanchy digitized Wall Wart powered units are disabled. Old faithful works great!

I guess olive and black are probably the desireable colors.....Lessee, there was also the icky lookin' salmon tone, tan, white, ivory, turquoise, brown. Any others?

Based on my goop experiments one of those old phones should make about 1 quart of brushable repair goop and a whopping 1/2 gallon of spray-able.

Always wanted to spray up an olive or black Willy's, same with the Hot Rods. Think the AFX four gear "A" bodies might look great in a retro Olive overcoat.

The reason why that material was used is because the Vibrator chassis got very warm to hot. That type of plastic has a higher melting temperature than plastic. Randy.
