KevinBahr 09-14-2007, 05:11 PM Butch,
Are you thinking of running your GN like a dirt late model on clay then? Just curious as I think it would be a blast also.
Freddie's Hobbies 09-14-2007, 05:27 PM where is this dirt oval at ? I am up for getting my car dirty
butchman 09-15-2007, 10:21 AM Kevin, yes I am trying to get it hooked up so we can run late model 1/4 scale  My son has built a track,Full Throttle Speedway in Ransomville,NY. We run 1/4 scale sprints and I aquired the GN in a trade<SOOOOO I would love to run late models Too :) :) The track is 205 ft oval clay. We also plan on running 10th scale and there is a prime off-road course .There has been alot of people coming to see the sprints run and alot of questions about the cars and I bring the GN out to see if I got on the right track for handling. The GN gets a lot of attention from spectators and I think if I can get it to handle we could be on to something!! We have quite a few dirt tracks in this area and the fan base is here.
Freddie, when we get a handle on the car and get a couple more we will be racing,Come on Up to Full Throttle Speedway,Its a blast!!

The track is a 405' oval, the straights are 25' wide and the corners are 30' we are bringing in more clay here at the end of the season and we will be making the turns and back straight larger.
If we can get the cars hooked up, I dont see a problem doing it, we will bend up some late model bodies out of 1/16 lexan and start a new class, GN chasis are easy to find on ebay and such at a good price.
I think that this would be a great way for a new comer to enter the world of quarterscale and get going at a fair price, also it would be less repair work compared to a sprint for the new guy.
We have a amb timing system that will be up and running shortly, we are located in Ransomville NY on New Rd. If you are intresed in more info, email me at derf54@verizon.net
Freddie we plan to make a trip down to try the sprints on that other surface.... LOL
Thanks
Derf
butchman 09-21-2007, 06:32 AM I appoligize to Fred for wrong track size, old age makes your mind do strange things :) :)
These are the Golden Years, only thing golden is my pee
Has anybody run GN cars on dirt.I was wondering if we need stagger in rear with tires or can we run same size on both?I would think with independent rear axle we could run same size tires.
Any input is appreciated .
Butch
