Is anyone up for running 1/8 gas here the next couple of Saturdays? We could also open it up for some practice anytime 1/8 want to stop out. What do you think? Any interest?

I think there should be,I am

John is inviting out the bad a$$ 1/8 nitro ripping machines! It appears that if we can get as many 1/8 rigs out there as possible we will be able to get the amb going,as well as possibly having a place to rip now and in the future.

I am planning on racing there on sat. Can we get enough 1/8ers out?

Who wants to join me?

I think I can get John O,Don D,Brent,Eric, larry, marty and bucsh out. Are u guys in?

Now how about Flyin Tim, rippin TJ,The French Champ, super dave,Mexican Gilbert, fast Eddy, jammin jason,Team Flappy A$$ as well as the rest of the of the rippers that are out there.

Lets rip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If not,why not?

The amb will be available Saturday. If we can get enough out to call it a race day we will set it up and run heats and mains.

Friday nights have been run what you brung nights. We run impromptu races when people want to throw them down. We could run the nitro until dark on Fridays.

Again, the least aggressive tire that we can get by with will help keep the track in good shape.

I am not going to speak for John, but if the track gets blown out bad and no one helps fix it the 1/8 will end as quickly as it did last time I would bet. We all have to remember John has races to run on Sunday so I am going to be the first to say everyone needs to be respectfull of John and his business. But I for one am excited to have other nitro's out on the track, bring 'em out.

the track will be fine as long as it stays dry. when we run there that one time in the summer there was top soil and it was raining. before it started to rain the track was holding up great, then the rain came and the track blew out.

We only need probably 8 to 10 so we can run at least 2 heats. That way we have marshals. The more the better.

We will plan on doors open at 10 am Saturday with racing starting around noon.

We can decide on length of heats and mains come race day.

We have 4 4x8 pit tables just inside the overhead door. Only thing we would ask it that we start the gas cars outside the building.

There is also a 4x8 carpeted table top section by the driver's stand that can be used to start cars on prior to the race.

Do you have a 8' folding table? That will work for a few of us,but if it is on the track the guys that have problems starting will make Exellent targets.

Tdevil
09-13-2007, 11:12 PM
There is plenty of room outside for people that want to set up. We can even get some electric to you if we need to.

We will work out whatever we need to. We have other tables around that can be moved to wherever we need them.

If we can start right at noon, and lets say there are two or so heats with 3 quilys it should not take long at all. 6x5=30. Time between heats 3 minutes. 3x7=21. 15 minutes to set up mains. 7min b. 30 min A. 35+21+15+7+30=around 110min. If john can keep on schedule we could be done by 2 oclock.

ya,ya,ya. What about kirt and kevin?
FYI.
Gear fix yourself,I have sent in three this year. When they call and say its 80 or whaterver to fix,ask for price break. Saved me lots of money. Also never buy used servos or motors, unless you just want worn parts.

Heads up, Airtronics servos are about the best.

Did not want any newbies to think there junk because I had some failures. Mine are like 4 years old.

All servos fail, some last a few minutes others can make a few years.
I can break anything.

Yes, I would expect to be done well before 5. We don't have to wait between rounds as long as electric to let you guys charge batteries and so forth. Should be able to move through the program very smoothly.

I was just throwing those #s out there. We can decide how long or short all the races are during drivers meeting.

John would be nice if you could just start the computer and let it run, only stopping for resort then full speed ahead. If peeps can not be ready to bad.
Slow shows are no good. People want non stop racing. Should only be 3min between heats and mains.

Busch I do not think there will be any reason for any c mains. I do not see 30 of any class showing up.

if there are only a few truggys throw them in with the buggys.

Will there only 1/8th scale tomorrow, or is the track also open for MT, 1/10 ST and 1/10 electric?

Tdevil
09-14-2007, 06:04 PM
The plan is for Saturday to be a nitro race day. I would say that would include any scale nitro that we have at least 4 of to make a class.

Electrics would be welcome before racing starts at noon and after it finishes. The problem I would see running electric heats is that batteries might not be charged and would require us to slow the program down.

We can certainly start the computer and let it run. We can come to an agreement when everyone gets here tomorrow on heats, mains and time between.

Really looking forward to having everyone here.

Tdevil
09-14-2007, 08:29 PM
Race fees for the day are $12 for first class and $6 for second class. These are the same fees we have been charging for electric on Sundays.

If electric can be ready to run on the same schedule as nitro they are welcome to run. We did run a mix of gas and electric stadium last Sunday and it worked very well. If there are enough of each we can run them separately.

There will be plenty of room to park and pit up by the building tomorrow. I took down the paved road course tonight. It wasn't getting any use and I was going to take it down for the winter so tonight with what sounds like a good turnout for tomorrow seemed as good a time as any.
