He didn't say it had to be Arcor legal. Besides, as someone pointed out on another topic, it's not at all hard to build a box into the chassis that protects the pack as well as the Orion plastic case. Anybody remember these?

They don't completely cover the battery. If you are going to run it at a track, I would ask if it will be allowed first.

To answer both of those questions - in one shot... I have one of MY 3200 LIPOS (orion/peak style) mounted on a 4 cell KSG Gen2 tray. The rest of my cars, I picked up ASSOCIATED L4 - 6 cell trays and redrilled them to fit on my GEN1 and my Pro3.

The smaller, non encased batteries are NOT ARCOR legal. The ONLY approved LIPO battery for ARCOR competition is the 3200 Carbon Edition in all the lower classes, and I believe in the OPEN MODIFIED Class - the PLATINUM 4800 is legal.
