0Stargate SG-1 , the complete 10 year series, is becoming available for the low price of 329.99. That's cheaper than buying them as individual seasons.

Ya know, if there was some way to know ahead of time that the studio will release a certain show as a complete set as they have with some shows like MASH, I'll never buy a separate season again. I think I'm gonna wait to see if they do this with Stargate Atlantis. I've been contemplating to start collecting that show, but now, I'm gonna wait.

Yikes!

I picked up a "Haji" version here in Iraq last time I was here, tho it only include up to halfway thru Season 10. The price? USD$35 for high-quality DVD's with one season compressed on to each. No problems w/it other than you can't do chapter skips like on normal DVD's - it jumps to the next or previous episode if you do.

I picked up several other series like this, as well: Smallville (up to halfway thru last years season - for $25), the complete DS9 ($35) and Superman: The Animated Series ($20) for my son. I don't know that I'd call them bootlegs, exactly, as I've been told these are legal copies in a number of countries outside of the U.S. and Europe, but I know that's what they basically are. If I could ever find these series for what I consider to be more reasonable prices (~$20 a season), I'd buy original U.S. release copies.

for this stargate set, the list price is $329.99. Amazon and other retailers will probably have them for about 279. That about 27 dillars per season if they go that low. I was paying almost 40 dollars per season when I purchased them separately. I'm definitely gonna wait on Atlantis.

Actually, if you follow the link, Amazon has it for the low low price of $230.99. That's only $4.27 per disc, or $23 per season!

Hmmm, where's that credit card?

This price, no matter how you slice it, is much better than the idiotic price of $217 (or thereabouts) for only the first season of the remastered Trek!
