BIGLOU75 09-07-2007, 12:54 AM Almost looks like Mater from "CARS"!! :p Possible inspiration?!?!? ;) Lummox 09-07-2007, 01:43 AM Love it! You should also show it to the guys in the MB section. That's a REAL early one with metal wheels, I think! DCPDGUY 09-07-2007, 08:45 AM nice Dinky Bedford BluntFronts 09-07-2007, 10:49 AM That is a real beauty. It clearly demonstrates just how sophisticated a "simple" toy can be. Congratulations on a fine addition. (Kinda neat how the proportions and color do suggest Mater. Maybe it's his pa.) LIGHTNING44 09-07-2007, 04:05 PM I have a little red tow truck with a yellow huck that looks just like that. plankowner 09-07-2007, 07:43 PM Awesome find! Mind telling how much she was? fred47 09-07-2007, 09:44 PM It is a lesney made in England I got it for $1 fred47 09-07-2007, 09:47 PM it is a lesney made in England I got it for $1 according to my book it is a Bedford Wreck Truck valued at $60-$80 MattGTO 09-08-2007, 09:38 AM it is a lesney made in England I got it for $1 according to my book it is a Bedford Wreck Truck valued at $60-$80 you got a deal on an amazing piece of die-cast history!!! :woohoo: Lummox 09-08-2007, 02:31 PM it is a lesney made in England I got it for $1 according to my book it is a Bedford Wreck Truck valued at $60-$80 What alot of people don't realize is those values are for MINT condition WITH BOX. The usual value for a "well loved" piece is just a few dollars which is why half of my vintage Matchbox collection consists of cars of a similar condition ~ I love 'em like that ~ covered in the charm of many paint chips!  fred47 09-08-2007, 03:26 PM when I am ask what my collection is worth I say nothing because I am not going to sell it therefore the $ value is nothing but to me it is priceless STUTZ 09-08-2007, 03:39 PM when I am ask what my collection is worth I say nothing because I am not going to sell it therefore the $ value is nothing but to me it is priceless When people ask me what my collection is worth, I say "My diecast collection is worth a fraction of what I spent". In most cases this is true for so many diecast collectors. I don't care......the money that I spent was worth the fun! MattGTO 09-08-2007, 05:57 PM When people ask me what my collection is worth, I say it is worth what I wanted to pay for it! :woohoo: dockchecker 09-10-2007, 03:46 PM my collection is worth all the smiles i get ( from myself) when i look at them, which to me is priceless. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
