Allen’s R/C in Rochester, IL will close out there 2008 dirt season with "King of the Wings" Sprint Car special on Saturday September 15th.
Featured Sprint car classes will be
1/10 scale Brushless Sprints - Sponsored by Allen’s R/C Raceway
Standard sprint rules, Brushless motors only, 7x7 wings and LiPo’s ok
1/10 Scale Nitro Sprints - Sponsored by Dynotech Racing
Standard Nitro Sprint Rules, .18 size engines or less, 7x7 wings ok
1/18 LOSI Mini Sliders - Sponsored by LOSI
Box stock, Only changes allowed are paint, decals, shock oil and spring pre-load spacers.
Racing will start at 6pm.
Format will be 3 heats (4 minute) with a re-sort after round 2
A Mains will be 50 laps for all Sprint classes.
Top 6 qualifiers are locked into the A. Top 2 bump from the B mains.
Cash purse for the 1/10th scale classes. LOSI race prizes for the Slider Class
Entry Fee for the 1/10 Sprint Class is just $15 with $5 of each entry going to the class payback..
Slider Entry is $10 and will be awarded race prizes form LOSI
1/10 Gas Trucks and 1/8 Scale late models will also run for the regular entry fee of $12
Friday Night September 14th will be the warm-up race event Starting at 8pm. 2 heats and a main for just $10. All of the entry money from Friday nights warm-up race will be added to the payout for Saturday.
The payout for the 1/10th Sprint classes should be pretty nice. Here is the formula
First we will split the sponsor donated cash + the warm-up entry fees. Next we will add $5 for every car entered in each 1.10 Sprint class.
Payoff Example
Electric Sprint Class (30 Cars)
Sponsor funds and Warm-up Race $600 x 50% = $300
30 Entries x $5 = $150
Total $450
1. 25% = $125
2. 20% = $90
3 15% = $75
4. 12% = $54
5. 10% = $45
6. 7% = $32
7. 5% = $22
8. 4% = $18
B Winner 3% = $14
C Winner 2% = $10
Same percentages will be used for Nitro Sprint.
Top 6 qualifiers in all Sprint classes will compete in the 25 Lap $25 to win GO Fast Race Parts Dash.
Allen's is also putting up a $100 bonus if someone can win both the Electric Sprint and Nitro Sprint A-Mains and be crowned the "King of the Wings"
