Back in December I was in a fairly bad car accident. Well here we are in September and I went to the junk yard in a search for an 1955 Plymouth I heard about at my club meeting last night. Well as I walk in I see a fairly familiar car, mine. It was well picked over and was told it was going to the crusher tomorrow. Well it was nice to see it finally being destroyed (I thought I had a good hand in it). Just thought I would share. Here are some pics of the car as it was back in January when we went to the impound to get the plates and go through it for any personal effects.

What an odd sensation that must have been, to walk in and see it there. By looking at those pics, I can truly say I am glad your were not seriously injured, that was a brutal hit! By the way, did you find the Plymouth?

Well I did not walk away from the accident. I had 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, lacerated liver (with internal bleeding), my right heel was broken in seven pieces and could not walk till the end of march, hand was cut up pretty bad when it went through the dash along with several other minor injuries. I spent Christmas and new years in the hospital and was there from 12-23 through 1-15. Yeah I found the Plymouth but it was in the junkyard for a good reason, the floor boards and rockers did not exist.

Is that a 93 Escort? Looks like you just missed getting an airbag. My 94 Prizm (Corolla) has two airbags. Seems like you could have used one...
