I know AutoWorld is making a new "TRACK"set and the hope was, it would be ready for Autofest BUT NOW IT LOOKS A COUPLE WEEKS OFF. THE PROTO-TYPE WILL BE ON HAND TO TEST OUT AND BEAT ON AT THE SHOW. Darn caps!!

Talks are of a Dukes of Hazard set which would be really cool. It's hard to promote an industry when the main ingredient (a track to race on) is being produced less and less. The cars are great but they sure don't free wheel very well. lol

Looking forward to slots getting bigger this year. The latest AW T-jet set is awesome with the Cobra and VW Dune Buggy.

Man those bring back memories.

That's great to hear. Any idea what resistance the set controllers have? With the magnets, the cars should run ok with Tomy type controllers but 90 ohms would be even better.

The controller at the Autofest for the Dukes of Hazzard set has a trigger to accelerate/deccelerate the cars and below it a lever to limit the trigger's travel. Low / Medium / High. You can set it to low for young children and when I ran the car it didn't deslot. Medium was good but the car would deslot as on high. Ohms I'd guess would be 45 or 60.

Overall I think the Dukes Set will be a good one, ecspecially for children. Randy.
