Is it someone well-known here? Gosh, that's certainly not good :freak:

Well, I don't even know what TP is, so I know I'm in the clear! Sorry for the bad deal, that truly takes the fun out of it. But hopefully the party will see your post, be thankful you did not post names, and be guilted (sp?) into paying for his purchase.
Good luck.

i gave this a little thought as i immeadiately became worried that it might have been me. :o
i keep a seperate email for my toy peddler account. i receive a lot of spam email to that account and hardly check it. i've been meaning to change it but have been slacking severley. it could be possible that the member in question bought it and completely forgot about it. we are all human and let one slip by us from time to time. i hope this is the case. hopefully the member will see this thread as a reminder and everything will work out for you.
BTW, i checked my account and all of my items are paid for up to date so it wasn't me. :woohoo: this was also just a cheap statement so i could use the new smilie.

Wow! I'm currently (since the end of May) going through a very similar situation with someone who has a GREAT reputation here on Hobbytalk. I'm out $40.00 because I sent the cars he bought in advance to him paying for it. And have never paid for. We have PM'd back and forth on the subject but there has been no resolution on his part yet. Because of his reputation here, I will not post his name in any public forum. I know this goes against the normal thought process. I'm tired of dealing with the situation and have accepted this as a loss on my part.

I think names should be named so that other members are not "stuck" into similar situations by these same deadbeats who just happen to be Hobby Talk members.
It's rather sad that members feel it is necessary to "tippy toe" around others (members) more "elite" reputation in oder to not get hassled. In Plankowner's case I think it is extremely disturbing that even with on-going conversations this deadbeat stil hasn't paid up.
Like Sprinter says, karma wins in the end.

i agree 100%! i can understand not going public on the board due to the war that would start between members and by members taking sides but i wish i could find out who they are through a pm or email so i don't run into a similar situation.
yellowbronc was a stand up board member who had an excellent trade reputation. he ended up giving another member the shaft by not sending his end of a trade. the other member went public and eventually got a response from him. that has been many weeks if not months ago and he has still yet to follow through on his end. because the other member posted his unfortunate dealing with brian, we all know not to have any dealings with him as he no longer seems to care about being a stand up guy and following through on his trades.
