Just scored this one. I'm told it's kinda rare.
1/18 scale '68 Mustang GT/CS.
it has a 390 V8 under the hood, and its really a nice replica.
it sure looks good down at the 'garage' I put together anyway:

Is this one of the ones that were factory "error" cars? All the other ones I have seen are not that color. Great car no matter what!

Yes. supposedly, 1/300 released.
I had to have it. and it was cheap (19.95 + shipping).
Have seen a few of these GT/CS Mustangs thru the years.
There is a very nice one (1:1)sitting in a small town in Montana, that I keep hounding the guy about. He is pretty old, so I guess it will have to wait until he drops dead, then I'll pick it up at the auction.
Now, if they would just make a few High Country Special Mustangs. :)

Your story sounds similar to my cousin. She has two 1:1 '69 Mach 1 Mustangs (351C & 351W). She knows an old guy near her that has a '69 Boss 429 that's been sitting in a shed for years and years. She keeps bugging him to sell it to her, but so far he hasn't yet. She's hoping she will get an opportunity eventually.

CJ....Greenlight did make a High Country Special, one in black and one in Turqoise. They made 400 of each.

I purchased a new model 1:1 GT/CS of my own this year. It cost a pretty penny, which made me cut back on the diecasts a bit.....but how could I resist this beauty:

BTW...I was stoked when GL released the 1:64 version of the '07 GT/CS. Now if I could just get them to do a Vista Blue vert like mine....
