hours are 2pm-9pm mon through friday. 10am till racing is over on sat- sundays
1 dollar for unlimited practice which is an unbeatable price! im sure tips are welcome and once you see what is offered then maybe you would want to throw a TIP! lol
Remember that Marshalls is the family track of the northeast :)
TEAM_lost. 09-03-2007, 06:02 PM Joe if I go I'll bring ya another brownie! ;)
Rocket9D 09-04-2007, 04:27 PM Joe, have they changed the carpet or is it the same as last year?
Matt Nothstein 09-04-2007, 04:34 PM From one of the drivers meetings a few weeks ago, Bill has said that this year will be the last for the ozite . Also stating that he can not afford it every 2-3 years replacing the carpet.:(
Porksalot4L 09-04-2007, 04:53 PM same carepet for this season. dpending on how it looks he will see if he will get new carpet next year or not. once he needs new carpet it will be the other type of carpet because it lasts alot longer. i cant really blame him. pan car racers are the main guys that push ozite carpet and for the price its a better deal to get the other stuff. i personally enjoy racing on the other carpet just as much as ozite. just my opinion. im thinking of making a trip to marshalls on friday possibly. maybe there will be a few others. :)
Sever_The_Ties 09-04-2007, 05:48 PM Here is for the start of the new season.

Joe DiGirolamo
Porksalot4L 09-05-2007, 05:32 PM first week might be a bit light due to another race goin on up north but so everyone knows the ORL/neot is goin on too weeks after the opening day so thats a good time to practice for it. hope to see everyone soon!

raymac1 09-07-2007, 09:12 PM Im hoping to practice next thursday evening. Have everything together, just need to select which tires and center shock springs to run. Is the outdoor season over or are you running this saturday?
Porksalot4L 09-07-2007, 11:24 PM its over as of last week ray. im thinking 3 whites and a black right front?
raymac1 09-08-2007, 06:46 AM Thanks Joe. I spoke with Danny Last night, we are going to try and practice next thursday evening. Maybe will see you then. Ray
Porksalot4L 09-08-2007, 09:02 AM you probly will. im off work next week so i have the free time :)
Anytime72 09-08-2007, 12:51 PM Joe, how about driving down to Marty's next Friday and coming to Seaford with us on Friday/Saturday? 13.5 racing
Porksalot4L 09-09-2007, 10:03 PM hmmm Walter sounds pretty tempting. i do have off so let me see if i have anything goin on. if not ill try to make it to martys. thanks for the invite!

In defense of CRC's Fasttrak Racing Carpet, it is thinner and the cars run much faster on Fasttrak than hook+loop commerical carpet. This equates to less battery and motor wars. The Fasttrak is fine with most cars, however, protruding screws and shock towers found on offroad vehicles are rough on Fasttrak.
However, Fasttrak is much more affordable. In fact, a quick google search returned pricing that was anywhere 1.6 to 3 times more expensive than Fasttrak. Of course, with those types of carpet having a weave or "grain", road course racing is practically impossible as the car pulls in different directions depending on the direction of travel and the lay of the grain or weave.
While Fasttrak may not fend off some shock towers and protruding screws as much as other carpets, it has quite a few benefits; the cost is typically less, cars run faster and Fasttrak has no grain. While it may not be the best choice for every track, it is very popular, by far better for road course and is THE standard at all the large events around the world.
Porksalot4L 09-10-2007, 01:22 PM good points crc and ill try to have Bill look at this post if possible. ill print it out for him or somthing. out of curiosity would armorall on the ice have anything to do with the fast track carpet being less durable at marshalls? i do know it makes the track slicker. thanks
Matt Nothstein 09-10-2007, 01:59 PM Yes, thank you for that post.. Speaking of which, a buddy & I went to practice on the indoor track this past Friday evening..was a little warm in the building but our cars were not that bad. Can’t wait for carpet season!
Porksalot4L 09-11-2007, 03:30 PM my trigger finger cant wait to get up to marshalls for some wheel time! :) just tryin to decide on thurs or friday :)))
Mr.fastman 09-11-2007, 04:30 PM Is the carpet track open now?
SHADOW 09-11-2007, 04:33 PM Planning on sat for some practice laps with the new car, come then Joe:woohoo:
Porksalot4L 09-11-2007, 09:47 PM ill see if i can. i think thats a good idea about same paint schemes for local 13.5 guys. :)
omnis85 09-11-2007, 10:15 PM joe did you want your tires back? I forgot what you mentioned, why are they on there? lol some new sk driver said he was testing this sat, lol
Anytime72 09-12-2007, 09:48 AM I would rather see more beginners running a 17.5 brushless class since 13.5 is faster than stock. Maybe Bill and Dot can get some of these as the House Brushless Motor for them to the racers for a god deal.

no Ken i dont want the tires back. i got the car pretty sweet and just figured to keep everything as is. thanks for the ride though! ill run it for the neot if you want also. but thats up to you. its a sweet car and i think its probly the best sk out cause of the battery boxes cause im very lazy and thats a great idea lol. might see them in my pan car this year. lol with connectors? lol
Walt thats a good idea. i wonder if novak would sell them at a deal for somthing like a novice class.
anyways im goin to be practicing thurs and possibly sat. should be fun

roger that, I should have a rent a ride for ya at the NEOT race, if you want come up to maximus for the sos and you can drive the same car there that weekend, 13.5 COME ON!!!!!
SHADOW 09-12-2007, 06:31 PM So does this mean you want bonzi to run 17.5 with you:devil:
But seriously the beginners should be runing 17.5, I mentioned it to Bill a few weeks ago that the 13.5's are more like the 19t class than stock. Dot was going to look into getting a couple 17.5's for the carpet season.

Matt Nothstein 09-12-2007, 06:51 PM I think it would be a great idea for the 17.5 motor as a house motor. If you haven't read the Maximus thread, they have just started using them as their house motor.. Tag them, mark them. Whatever.. as long as they are returned at the end of the night...
Porksalot4L 09-13-2007, 09:45 AM ahhhhh being returned at the end of night would be a great idea. i didnt realize that part of it. yeah i think it would be a good idea for house motor. i think another idea would be to let the class that runs 17.5 to also run stock motors. alot of the novice guys i know will not have money right away to get a brushless esc. and the 17.5 is just about the same speed so why not just run them together. it will also be 1 less possible class at marshalls. i sure hope they do that. just like outdoors bill johnson ran his 19t car against the 10.5 and it wasnt a huge diff.
man i really wish Bill and Dot would start reading these threads because theres alot of great ideas on here! :)
ovalnewb21 09-13-2007, 07:17 PM does marshalls have a website?

jbm38 09-13-2007, 10:50 PM Joe,
I vote for carpet testing and tuning, racing Saturday night. It's suppose to rain anyhoo up that way Saturday. Think Bill will go for it, need to get some carpet runs in before next weekend.
Porksalot4L 09-14-2007, 06:22 AM its a good idea john but i think they have a offroad race on sat. to be sure if though you should give a call to marshalls b4 making the trip. i know a few guys are goin tonight. danny, andy, ray? maybe ill be able to also but im not sure. cant wait to make it out next weekend though
Mr.fastman 09-14-2007, 08:56 AM If its raining, I up for some Marshall's carpet action on sat too!
Doug P
Mr.fastman 09-14-2007, 10:45 AM Joe- a group of us that were going to seaford are now planning on a day at Marshall's, remember the last time seaford was rained out!!! Should be fun I hope Bill and Dot will have us.
Doug P
Porksalot4L 09-14-2007, 10:47 AM thats a great idea. best bet is for everyone wanting to go to marshalls to give a call up there. im sure if your on spectrum then atleast there wont be frequency issues! it could be a cool time again so give it a shot guys

Mr.fastman 09-14-2007, 11:01 AM Joe - You'll be there right!
Porksalot4L 09-14-2007, 11:03 AM yeah ill come out to play why not. :) dirk told me he wanted to practice on sat. and few others so who knows. who do you know that would show up? maybe marty and walter since the seaford race is canceld?
Anytime72 09-14-2007, 11:48 AM Yea...........
Rocket9D 09-14-2007, 12:31 PM wish i could make it up to get some laps in. Still taking my time putting my new cw cars together. Maybe by the first week of October i should be there. I can't wait!!!
Porksalot4L 09-14-2007, 09:43 PM man this last week till indoors starts is taking forever! 13.5 was alot of fun practicing with lastnight. i was getting 3.7's and i know theres alot more then that in the car so should be fun.
raymac1 09-14-2007, 10:18 PM Anyone looking to go to Marshalls tomorrow for a day of practice had better call Dot first, I believe they are dirt racing, and Bill may not allow any other racing or practice. Just a thought, but hate to see you make the trip for nothing.
tnetzley 09-14-2007, 10:45 PM joe what tires you running
