Originally this car was probably not intended to be raced on a drag strip. Oh well, us customizers will chop anything up :dude: . Here is the result of a slightly modified MG. :thumbsup:
Lexan MGA body painted candy blue, orange & yellow. Interior is from HO Express also lexan. All candies backed with chrome.
- SpazStix paint
- Vincent wheels
- Chutes & motor from donor die cast
- Wheelie bars, piano wire & glass beads
- Wing, piano wire & lexan
- Stock 440-X2 chassis

If you have ever seen the movie "Hot Rod Girl", notice what her T-Bird is racing against in the opening drag races: a wire wheeled Jaguar. So I'd say an MGA is a drag car by 1956 B-movie standards.
I used to sorta street-drag an MGA...sorta. I had an MGA engine and 4-speed transmission in a Nash Metropolitan. It was quick in a straight line, but it cornered about as well as the bathtub it's body was styled from.
