View Full Version : 1957 Mercurcy Turpike Cruiser
STUTZ 08-29-2007, 04:25 PM I've always liked the 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. This is an older model made by Brooklin. I like the copper color on this model very much.

Lummox 08-29-2007, 11:38 PM Love it !
When I was a kid there was a blue 4-dr in the woods where I grew up.
I just loved the little horizontal antennas at the top of the A pillars!!!
Wonder if it's still there...

ranchero 08-30-2007, 06:56 PM I like '57 Turnpike Cruisers too. Here is an Ertl 1:43 die cast release from about 8 years ago.

STUTZ 08-30-2007, 07:08 PM Thanks for adding the pics to the thread for comparison of the three 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruisers ranchero.
Did Classic Collectibles make an Indy Pace Car of 1957 Turnpike Cruiser convertible? I remember they made several Pace Cars.
ranchero 08-30-2007, 08:28 PM No. Collectors Classics did not do a '57 TC pace car. They did three pace cars: '53 Ford; '55 Chevrolet; '56 DeSoto.
