IndyRC_Racer 08-30-2007, 05:41 PM - Is the track bigger/smaller/same size as World of Hobbies?
- Is this going to be an primarily oval track?
- Will there be an onsite store - dedicated to R/C or all hobbies?
- Will the road course layout be changed more than once in a blue moon?
Thanks for the responses.

Do ya think it will be difficult to get the carpet down with Monti trying to win the first practice as you do it? Heck, he's probably all about spraying the back before it goes down just to make sure there's always enough bite in it.
How many packs ya got on charge Monti??

Can't wait to see this place. I know you guys will make this a top notch facility. Oval racing owes you one.
IndyRC_Racer 08-31-2007, 10:54 AM Monti, thanks for answering my questions.
Sonny B 08-31-2007, 11:12 AM I found this posted on a local racers My-Space page about rules for the new track. (BTW: I never knew he has so many young Asian friends)
Joe as the tracks communication director can you confirm any of the following rumors.
1.) All heats will be single car qualifying.
2.) Mains will be IFMAR style (if run)
3.) All tires must be pink or purple compound…(We wouldn't want to screw up the new carpet)
4.) Paragon will be banned and replaced with VHT
5.) Music - looping CD of Pearl Jams Greatest Hits (Both of them)
6.) Soda machine will only dispense Rockstar and Mountain Dew
7) Food- Only Taco Bell may be brought into the race area
8.) No cats allowed
9.)Grand Tourism Tournaments every night (Nuremburg track only)
10.) In honor of National Holiday No racing on December 23rd (Eddie Vedder's Birthday)
:D :D :D
ToddFalkowski 08-31-2007, 11:17 AM I think I can live with those rules :) :) :)

Monti007 09-05-2007, 11:09 PM Just a bit of an update:
The carpet is down and they are in the process of building the outter wall. The new lights will be in tomorrow. They did get the new CRC track system which is really trick (you can check it out on their web site). There is still a lot of electric to re-run (it needs moved so that they can accomodate more racers). There are also a ton of other little touches that need to be made so that things will be awesome. John wants to run on Saturday but it looks like everything will be finished for the 15th to race.
So if you want to pratice for the BRL (and since Sonny does not allow it during BRL weekends) I hope to see everyone there the next couple of weeks!
-Monti-
left lane 09-06-2007, 03:31 PM so is this saturday going to be practicing or racing? if there going to be a race i know a few of us will make the trip ! if its just going to be practice well wait until the fifteenth , and stay in indy and run some asphalt road course saturday ( but i really want to try the new L.E.car out on that new rug )
John Foister 09-06-2007, 10:58 PM We will not be racing this saturday. Plan for the following week. We will be doing the finishing touches on the track.
philb1 09-08-2007, 08:31 AM Looks great guys :D , hope to make it over for the BRL race
Kenwood 09-08-2007, 08:22 PM Amazing!! I cant believe thats the same place...Looks really good.. Man I leave town for week and a half and go from an empty building to an almost complete track.. Cant wait to try it out.
Metal 09-09-2007, 02:09 PM What kind of schedule you looking at on the 15th? Doors open? Racing at?
Thanks,
B Deel
bigemike 09-10-2007, 11:37 PM I am going to stop by there tommorow, I know john has been really busy I will try to get a schedule for the 15th for you.
John Foister 09-11-2007, 02:25 AM We will be opening at 10:00am on Saturday and oval racing at 5:00pm. Three qualifiers and a main. I know there will be 4300 and 13.5 brushless racers there. We will run anything that shows up with at least three in a class. Ledgends, trucks, EDM's, sprint cars, touring cars, ect. This weekend will be a preview, not a grand opening as we have alot of work to get done yet. There will be no onroad yet as we are still working on the track system. Race fee's for weekend day racing will be $16.00. Traction compound will be paragon and we have plenty in stock. Hobby shop stocking is still week or so away but we will have plenty of tires in stock.
left lane 09-11-2007, 02:40 AM is anybody wanting to run 17.5 saturday ? chad
John Foister 09-11-2007, 02:54 AM I should have some 17.5 motors saturday and possible a couple of racers to join in with that class.
wacko 09-11-2007, 07:55 AM Lights were completed last night... don't forget your sunglasses :p

John is it Paragon ONLY??? Or is it anything goes including paragon?? Just curious.
wacko 09-11-2007, 11:47 AM Shawn, the majority of road coarse guys want paragon only. The reason seems to be because some compounds seem to cause an anti-groove and others may even attack the glue (that holds the carpet down) because of the solvents they contain. Going paragon only should help with more consistent "bite"
Monti007 09-11-2007, 11:57 AM John is it Paragon ONLY??? Or is it anything goes including paragon?? Just curious.
What compound would you like to run?
-Monti-
pmsimkins 09-11-2007, 12:19 PM My objection to that is paragon makes me quite sick. I get a rash on my fingers about a week after I come in contact with it, not to mention what amounts to migraines when I am really close to it. I always run TQ8, primarily for those reasons.
If I have to run paragon I'll deal with it, but I'd like to be able to use TQ8.
Kenwood 09-11-2007, 12:22 PM What compound would you like to run?

I dont have a preference honestly.. I just need to know what to pack...and what to tell others.. Despite living 1.5 hours away I seem to get asked a lot of questions about the track.. I guess that means I post too much..
paragon only?!?!?!? I am moving to cincy
Kenwood 09-11-2007, 03:47 PM paragon only?!?!?!? I am moving to cincy
