If there was an easier way of identifying which type of motor is for what class. When we race brushed we know what the stock motors are and the 19t's and the opens. But this numbering business is crazy. Or am I the only one that is confused? I've only been building these crazy little cars for 20 years now and I have no clue which motor is for stock or mod, and better yet which batteries are for which motor. And this was supposed to get people back in oval racing? Could have fooled me.

Don't know WHY you are confused - you RUN what is RUN at the TRACK you are racing at.
If THAT track is running 10.5/4300 4 cell - THAT's easy - that's what you run.
If your track is running 13.5 - you run 13.5
Most tracks ANYTHING HOTTER than a 10.5 is ONLY allowed in OPEN MOD - so a 8.5 - 3.5 would be able to run in OPEN MOD.
and if you are concerned about LIPOs, you'll have to check with your local track to see if THEY are offering that option YET. These tracks so far are few and far between - but they WILL be growing, and this WILL change to some degree what motors get run (because of the increased voltage) Slower motors will be used in this deal.
The other option - STAY WITH BRUSHED - and don't worry about what the B/L guys are doing...just let them (US) have OUR fun too.
