I have a FB400 Kawasaki engine in a golf cart and it is operated with a key-start instead of pedal start. I can get it running but when I let go of the pedal it just dies out. I've tried adjusting the idle set screw and the screw isn't long enough. Also, it has been sitting up for about 1-2 years with minimal starting/running. I have replaced the old gas and have actually ran it about 1-2 miles with no problem but the dying at idle. Any suggestions would be great.

Also, I have sprayed carb cleaner into the carb and replaced the sparkplug and checked other filters.

sounds like one of the tiny orfaces in the carbs idle curcit is clogged,and you might have to soak the carb.in a can of carb.dip.

I was afraid that was the next thing. I'll take it off tomorrow and try. thanks
