1/12 and touring cars run oval, it's not just a 1/10 pancar thing

Seeing how ME21 makes oval 1/10th cars I assumed that was what he was speaking of but thank you for pointing out my assumption. I guess this is where I am supposed to get upset and tell you I just won't post :( :( NOT!

Let me try again! A touring wheel and a 1/12 wheel has been designed by Josh Cyrul for Jaco but as far as I understand they haven't made plans as of yet for a 1/10th pan car wheel(of which some might run oval or onroad).

Looks like your assumption of my post was all wrong, I was just clarifing that you can run the new Jaco 12 scale tire and the new touring car tire on oval, that there not just for roadcourse. If you took it any other way that's your issue. Not everyone on this board is out to attack you.

There has been some talk of making a new 1/10th scale oval/pan car wheel along the lines of the new TC and 12th scale wheel but Jack hasnt decided yet if he will do it. The new wheels for 12th and TC are awesome though!

Jaco should work more on the glue holding the foam to wheel before they make a new wheel. IMO Jaco has fallen way behind in glue technology.

KenBajdek, I'm a BSR guy, but I haven't seen a Jaco wheel come unglued in many years. I even think Jaco has a free replacement policy about it. You may want to check it out if the foam is comming off the rim.

We quit selling foams from Jaco when our racers had issues with the foam and glue coming off of the rim. The rim had no glue on it. I can understand chunking due to wrecks and etc. But the whole outside edge on the right sides and the inside edge on the left front were peeling back. It seems that the rim did not bond with glue. It was an issue on all types of cars pan stock, pan mod and mod sprint cars. This has been since 2003.

last year we saw a lot of Jaco tires peel the outside edge of the right tires at the track. It was mostly in MOD or 19turn.

Send them back to Jaco if the tires are peeling of the rim.

Its too late for most of us. We just threw them away. That's when most of the guys switched to BSR.

Rim needs to be scuffed before gluing...

I ran Jaco for years and I have not ever seen the outter edge of the tire peel and I ran mod,19trn,and Stock maybe I was to slow for the tire to peel.

That makes sense because the rim had a glossy finish. I used to glue my own way back when and we always scuffed the rim first.

From what I have seen of the new 1/12 jaco tires, you won't need to worry about the foam peeling off.

This is interesting since we have roughened every oval wheel that has been produced for the past 2 years. I have never heard of this or seen it happen (doesn't mean it hasn't). Our drivers never mentioned it to me and in all the years of racing I have yet to see it happen at an event. I would really like to see the wheel and tire. Since we do offer a guarantee and have yet to see a return, I can only speculate on what you are describing.

Every time i've used one the rim broke when I hit the pipe on the rear tire.

Since Jaco has a return policy, could someone please provide a link to that return policy? I think that would clear up any confusion about what to do with a Jaco tire in the event of a failure.

Jack, it is a little too late to send back all of the defective wheels we had. No one knew about the warranty on those. They were all thrown away. I know it's been more than 2 years ago. I called Jaco to fix the issue several years ago. I'm guessing 2002/03 was about when it was. Nothing was ever offered then.

It's good to know if that is a "new policy" it would be hard to prove any defects with the way some guys bounce off of the wall.
