That is great news I was under the impression that the vega wouldn't be made it wouldn't pass th choke test. The Matador is good news as well. Were they in individual packages or were they in a 5 pack? Also do you remember colors.
I'm passing thru Georgia tonight and tomorrow so I will look for these, Savanaha doesn't have any so I'll look @ some wm's on my way to Tampa. :)

thanks for the great news.

Dear All:

Oh, sweet!! That means Motormax managed to get a GM licence for the Vega and made the Station Wagon as well in the process, and the Matador finally made to 1/87.

That means that the Fiero may make it to 1/87 scale as well!! Great news!!

Gunn,

If your report is correct, then Motormax is a very sly manufacturer because the Vega, Vega wagon, and Matador are not even listed as anounced items in HO. I'm wondering if Walthers is sharing some cost with Motormax because of the new distribution agreement through the hobby shops.

Walthers and Classic Metal Works worked together on the 1940's? Greyhound bus that CMW is releasing soon. A cost sharing agreement makes business sense because customers in hobby shops expect more new products more often. Go Motormax!

Dear Vito:

Motormax also like to issue surprise models. The 1/87 Hornet and 1/64 Fiero were not announced as well (well, the Fiero was mostly a rumour that materialized) and there they are.

Tomorrow is my turn to look at the Wal Marts of my area and see what I find out.
