View Full Version : 07 Dave Mease Memorial race......
TBRC1 08-25-2007, 12:18 AM Thats right racers the time is getting close for this race again. Brian and I as well as our wives are getting things together once again for this race. Justin is going to be printing this yrs banner and race flyers that we will be putting in local bussinesses.
I'm hoping this yr to have either a local tv or radio station there to cover it for us and hopefully raise more funds to send off to the American Diabetes Association. That and hopefully get some exposure for our hobby/sport.
Keep in mind this yrs race is the 30th of September and as we said last yr WE CAN ACCOMODATE THOSE WITH TRAILERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! All we need is a count of those comming with trailers so we know how many spots to block for them. If you plan on bringing a trailer a generator would be a good thing to have as well. Also keep in mind once the standing pits are taken tables, chairs and even extention cords will be a good idea.
Hope to everyone there for this race. The more we have the more fun we'll have. This yrs classes at this time are tenatively 13.5 stock brushless ......brushed stock .....and spec for the newbies. ANY vehicle class that would like to race with us only needs 4 or more entries and they will have a class. I'm hoping that we will see some winged or wingless sprinters this yr .......HINT HINT all you sprint drivers :)
Toby ........TBRC Racing

but honestly i doubt i will make it i will be away a few sundays and i want to be home that weekend
TBRC1 08-27-2007, 09:23 PM George I'll see what I can do about that list !!
Jon it looks like 13.5 will be BIG this yr. We will have ole brushed stock for those who have yet to jump into the brushless world.
The rookie class will be based on the ORL truck class. For those wanting to see the rules for this class check out www.outlawracingleague.com for class info as well as motor and battery specs. We are hoping this will get some new racers in to hobby as well as letting them move to other tracks with the same equipment.
SEE EVERYONE ONTHE 30TH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S DON;T forget test and tune September 23
JH Racing 08-28-2007, 02:17 AM Permission slip I like that wish I could make this race.
J-Dub Racing 08-28-2007, 03:53 PM Would love to come to the race, but I dont have any equipment anymore. I am officially retired...But I will mention it to the Thunder Road crew the next time I stop in. Good luck to all and I hope the event has a great turnout.

TBRC3 08-30-2007, 06:22 PM toby did we decide to run the orl rules for the rookies with only the truck body's or did we decide on any car body thats one thing we should clear up before they go totally with the orl rules on the spec series. I my memory serves me right we said an orl legal car body.
TBRC1 08-30-2007, 09:07 PM I was thinking all truck so that way the new racers could try other tracks that run the same or simular class. Then again if they all run the same stuff and bodies we could invite the rookies from GB to join us at Kranzels on the GB off weeks.
Here's an idea let's see what the returning rookies as well as any new ones coming in want to do as far as bodies. I'll start a new thread about it on here.
TBRC3 08-30-2007, 10:19 PM ok...
TBRC3 08-31-2007, 03:18 PM george the second annual winners are listed on the website i think i have pics of the 3rd annual winners but i need to hunt for them and i i find then i can give you info from them.
JH Racing 08-31-2007, 06:23 PM I plan on making that race this time 13.5 and stock .
JH Racing 09-01-2007, 08:25 PM After thinking this over I will be there for the test and tune but not the race their will not be enough time for me to get back to Work in time.
TBRC3 09-03-2007, 03:25 PM toby one question and i something to think about. first the question are we going to run the rookies for the mease race? second here is something to think about maybe you should talk to dave about the mease race find out if he wants to do trophys for 13.5 and stock or just pick the most popular one. I know myself will be in both stock and 13.5. This way we can let everyone know what that are in store for on the race.
JH Racing 09-03-2007, 06:20 PM Why don't you talk to him about opening earlier and staarting earlier .
TBRC1 09-03-2007, 09:19 PM If I remember right last year the doors opened at 10 and we raced at either noon or one start time. If Robby or Jim Dodge wants to show earlier maybe there could be a time change. I personaly would like a earlier opening time but still start at noon or one. On the other hand the earlier the track opens the earlier racers would have to wake up to get to the track. I tend to be a bit lazy on weekends.
JH Racing 09-03-2007, 10:20 PM Well I am just trying to figure a way to come race for a good cause and fun track, fun people and make it back to Harrington at 6:00 for work.
TBRC1 09-03-2007, 11:21 PM OK I misunderstood I thought you were refering to the whole season. Could you use some personal or vaction time ...............or arrange to come in late ???? Just asking since I have some of that available to me where I work.
JH Racing 09-04-2007, 12:08 AM My vacation is used up for another race and we have 24 hour coverage of the casino I'm not about to go in late if they can't or won't open and start early no biggy I will be there on the 23rd I always liked racing there.
Mr.fastman 09-04-2007, 10:15 AM He probably wont make it,,,,he will be practicing somewhere for the all important ORL point series.:p

TBRC3 09-05-2007, 11:13 AM ok toby and i was talking about the mease race we will run rookie class if there is at least 4 drivers. and also will have the stock and 13.5 classes.

Harold R 09-11-2007, 09:56 PM By far the smallest track I have been on but a great time as well. It seems like an RC version of Martinsville to me.

Harold R 10-01-2007, 08:23 PM Had a good time as always at Glen Burnie. Fun little track! Thanks to all that worked hard to make the race possible.
Toby,
You said it all on the tire. Kicked myself all the way home for being cheap and not switching it out.
