Hi Everyone,

1960's Opel Kadett, all plastic 1/43 scale, and I believe its made in Russia, as the name on the base is written in Russian.

It was indeed made in Russia, or rather USSR to be correct. I had one of these as a kid.

I don't think it survived - although I'll check next time I'm visiting my parents' house.

Thanks for sharing. I remember seeing the 1:1 versions on the road.

Vadim: The casting looks like either an old Norev, Politoy or Mebetoy. I would bet that the casting originated with one of those companies in the '60s and was sold to USSR. I know that many of the Mebetoy castings ended up in USSR; perhaps it was originally a Mebetoy? What do you think? - ranchero -

Hi,

I was thinking that it might be a Politoy clone but can be a Mebetoy as I only have a few of them in my collection.

Man, my grandfather had a similar one in a garage waiting to be restored...I think it never was

It could be a great material for an european hot-rod... :p
