Hello all,
I have some old Rivarossi 4-4-0 model kits that I am trying to assemble, and I was thinking about electrical pick ups in the tender wheels. The existing wheels have metal tires, plastic wheels, and metal centered plastic axles. I am trying to find some metal wheels with metal axles, so I could make a pick up easily from the axles. The existing wheels are 22 inch scale wheels. I am also looking for some 28 inch scale wheels for another kit I am modifying. I was mainly wondering if anyone knew where I could find some wheels that are that size possibly online. I checked at my local train shop today and was lucky I found the couplers I was looking for! The gentleman was unable to find and for him to order in his book from either Walthers or NWSL. I was wondering if possibly narrow gauge wheels might be smaller and I could somehow make them standard scale. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance, and again this is for standard gauge O scale.
