 I was surfing around on a Japanese site and came across a pre-order for the 1/18 AutoArt Mad Max Interceptor from The Road Warrior. This was an unconfirmed rumor about a year ago but this confirms it. It looks as though the release date will be Nov-Dec 2007!!!! I have been waiting for this one, I just hope they plan to do the Mad Max version as well with the MFP logos, front and rear spoilers and full interior. Not to mention far less Road Warrior mods. It appears this release comes with accessories like exta gas cans, the dog, a spare tire etc. No information from AutoArt North America on this one yet. I hope it isn't a Japanese exclusive. Price listed on the Japanese site was about $128.00 US when converted from Yen. Things in Japan are normally priced a lot higher than in N.A. so the price will probably be in tune with other AutoArt releases.
Here's some pics:

An extra touch of realism - the supercharger is not operational, just like on the real move car ;)

But seriously, very cool and seemingly very detailed diecast that should sell well.

I'd buy that for a dollar! Seriously though, I would have to add that to my collection!

Has anyone heard anything more about this AutoART release? Googling shows some sites saying Jan, Feb, or March 08 release...

The New Auotoart 1/18 needs some Road grime & Dirt on it IMO

Do an ebay search & you will see the 1/24,s , Also Model Kits + this Autoart version (Feb Pre Orders)
