I need a little help......I am having problems with my RS4 Pro 4's differential screws. Its the 25mm x 2mm screw that you can tighten or loosen to adjust the slip on the differential. I have only had the car for a few weeks now and i snapped/broke that screw in the diff for the second time last night. Is it possible i have the differential tightened too much? Last night it snapped as i was in the centre of a turn.

It may be the that you just have/had some bad screws. I'd suggest contacting Losi and see if they can give you a replacement part. What type of motor/battery combo are you running?

I have had a similar issue with my Tamiya F201 with the stock diffs snapping the screw head, but that was more of a design issue if you were running even a mild mod motor. You did have to be careful to not run the stock diffs too tight or it would snap screw heads. The solution for the F201 was to buy the upgraded diff which was designed better.

Indy...thanks for the reply. My car is actually HPI, but will Losi make a part for it? I am going to the hardware stores tonight to search for some screws that will work.

We are running smooth cement with pro compund HPi slicks 26mm. The motor is a Orion 19T, and we are using 3600 mah NIHM.

Sorry, running on too little sleep. You might contact HPI. I just re-read about the issue with the F201 and make sure that you are using lock-tite on the diff bolt. The problem can be that the nut works loose and puts too much pressure on the screw head. You might be able to find a stronger screw at the hardware store.

I'm assuming this is happening on the rear diff? If this is happening on the front diff, you might consider running the front one-way if you are using a ball diff.

I found a PRO4 thread on rctech.net that might be useful. I see some people talking about the diffs (http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3542081)
