One of my favorite details in the Greenlights is the serializing of the chassis. My thought and first question goes with that. In the real musclecar world, much value is added if your car is the first produced or the last produced. I mean, the coolness factor alone of saying you have the very first or last "such and such" ever made would be extreme! With that thought in mind, Do you think that there is added value in having lower numbered cars? I would assume the first and last cars have extra value. But what about say, the 2 - 50 cars? Or 2 - 100? Also, what is the lowest numbered regular Greenlight you have and which is it?

What about the Green Machine variants? Are their chassis numbers independent of the regular version Greenlights? Would this make the lowered number GM cars more valuable then the rest? What would be the cutoff to be proportionate with the regular versions? What would be the value crossover of the lowest numbered regulars versus the highest numbered GMs? What is your lowest numbered GM and which one is it? Okay, that's enough food for thought. I'm quite interested in everyone's thoughts here. Thanks for the read as well!

Interesting note related to this, the latest B-J release with the silver 427 Corvette Sting Ray is a replica of the last Stingray that was built and sold at B-J this past January...

I think all the BJ cars are replica's of actual cars that sold at auction if I remember correctly.

i like the lower numbers myself. i have the series 2 custom boss 429 #0011
all my others are a lot higher though i did see one that was #0004 just can't remember what it was. i think my brother bought it about an hour after i was at target.

I like the number of the Greenlight cars too, however, I have left a low number on the peg (under 100) because there was a flaw (a speck of dust) in the paint job or the chrome detail wasn't as nice as the higher number that I bought. The nicer paint job and nicer detail of the chrome diplays better than a lower number. If the number on the chassis was 00001-00010 in a 10,000 production run I would sacrifice the paint job and chrome detail and buy the low number.
