I'll second that Humpty! Dale has the best bodies hands down..THD in 13.5 and Intrepid still is the best stock body by far!

BTW - the new NASCAR Craftsman Series style "PROTOform ORT" (oval race truck) body is almost finished. It'll be a Sept 15th release if decals are delivered on time.

I'm also trying for another oval stockcar body release for this fall as well.

Although we saw a ton of T-HD's at the nats, there were plenty of good running cars with a host of the other Protoform bodies. Usually you see one body take a track over and nothing else seems close, but I can remember seeing a few Dodge Chargers turn in just as good as the T-HD this past weekend and saw an older Dodge Intrepid run right out front as well. Only body I did not see make a run was the MD Dodge. As for me, I stuck by the old Monte Carlo, it did not go obsolete over night.

Is there any chance of a Velodrome style body being designed?

Gary Warren won the .09 class using a Monte Carlo. I had already painted one for the KSG car. He tried it and liked it. Instead of him painting one I told him to keep using it. That may be the only time a body With my name on it and my # 99 sits in the winners circle at a national event. lol

Good point except no one at Pro-line know anything about it. I tried to place an order for 200 yesturday or just put them on backorder. They told me without a part number they cold not place them on backorder. I have PM'd Dale to get some help. I have a lot of hobbyshops asking about them sinse the first BRL race is coming soon.

Dale, just a thank you for all your support of the Brl series.
I ran the Masters Truck "ORT" and had a ball, finished 3rd in the points and had great races with the other Truckers.
This ORT has great balance, and a really killer look.

I'm sure that the new bodies are going to break track records next season.

Protoform Oval Body Update

You guys may have noted that the Protoform #1224 Dodge R/T (medium downforce) body is no longer on our web site. Unfortunately, the R/T had reached that crucial "tipping point" where the sales numbers had decreased to the point where we weren't even covering the royalty payment$ to Dodge's licen$ing agency.

HOWEVER - we will be releasing a new body with similar performance traits on April 15th. It will be called the "F-MD" - and will surely make you blue oval lovers happy. It will be a Nationwide Cup style of car - not a COT. Please don't try to order any until then. I'll keep you posted on the part number.

While I'm at it I've got a confession to make to you all. Yes - I'm crying "Uncle!"
I vowed that I would never do a COT car because they were so ugly......well I'm actually starting to like them. They're growing on my a bit more each week. They've made the racing very interesting so far in 2008. I don't know exactly when I'll release one - but I will be starting to build one in the next few months. Will it be a better body than whats out there now? Absolutely not. I do feel that this body style can be made to work fairly good for the stock and 13.5 classes. Time will tell.

Please note* There will be an all new "C-HD" Nationwide Cup style body released before the COT style body as well. I'll keep ya'll posted on any developements.

i was kinda shocked thinking that the charger was gone.

Dale, thanks for your support of the BRL series and for the cool door prizes, Those new pit mats are a great idea, although I didnt win one I will buy one.

I cant wait to try the new bodies on asphalt this summer, the most realistc looking and performing bodies out there.
