Does anyone know how to get rid of old gas. I have about two gallons of old/stale gas that I drained out of some old lawn mowers. A couple web site suggested that I filter out the junk using a coffee filter into a clear container to see if there is any water. The water being heavier will sink to the bottom. I can then pour off the gas leaving the water behind. It is then suggested that I delute it, using five parts of good gas with one part of the old gas. It is then mentioned that you might want to use an octane booster before using it in your lawn mower. What do you think?

I wouldn't put it in another lawn mower, it'll clog it up pretty quick, I'd just burn it to tell you the truth

Your response if definately appropriate for someone who goes by the name of "pyro maniac69", but unfortuantely I would get into a lot of trouble burning it it Southern California. When I was a kid we use dynamite to remove tree stumps. I can't do that anymore either. What is this world coming to?
