View Full Version : BRL WARMUP @ Victory Hobbies; Saturday Oct. 6
Hays Jr 08-20-2007, 07:31 PM Victory Hobbies in Green Bay WI will be hosting a BRL warmup race on Saturday October 6th. Racing will start around 2ish with 3 heats and a main. This is the first carpet race of the year here in WI and there will be a good crowd shaking off the rust and getting ready for BRL race #1.
13.5 and 10.5 will be the 2 main classes but anything else will run with enough entries. Track is extremely nice with a fully stocked hobby shop!!
It'll also be a good opportunity to get some practice for BRL race #7 that Victory is hosting. Its looking to be a good year of racing with some old school racers coming back and some new ones too.
I can't wait for carpet season! See everyone there!!

Brian F 08-20-2007, 11:42 PM Hays Jr. about covered the info. Entry fee will be $15.00 and second class $7.00. We will open at 8AM, racing at 2PM like Hays mentioned. We have a snack bar with burgers, great pizza, candy, popcorn and many other places to eat near by. We will be open late Friday night for practice as that is our normal oval race night.
Anyone needs directions or has any other questions you can call us toll free at: 866-231-4933 or e-mail me at brian@team1rc.com.
We are all pretty geeked about the upcoming oval season!
See you all at the track!

Gotta fix my Sprint Car yet from when I broke it up there during the BRL race last December......:freak:
Sonny B 08-21-2007, 12:05 AM Maybe we should replace Friday night practice on the BRL weekend with a dirt oval club race.

That would be cool Sonny! If we have enough racers to run a club race we will. Racing sideways is fun too! :D

I imagine you did since you won lol lol
Eric
pmsimkins 08-21-2007, 01:52 PM That MIGHT have something to do with it! LOL
Aside from that though it is a nice facility.
CBear3 08-21-2007, 02:58 PM Yeah, thats a shame...Good track, good shop, pit space was a bit cramped but I enjoyed it more than some places I went. Wouldn't have figured rent was too high in that part of town either, but it is certainly a shame, was looking forward to going back.
yokman 08-21-2007, 04:44 PM ring ring new castle is calling sonny
Brian F 09-10-2007, 05:52 PM I've had a few calls about motel/hotel info for the BRL Warm-up race at Victory RC Hobbies here in Green Bay.... so here it is:
The best rates I have found here is a motel just down the street. I have not stayedmyself but I have heard some good comments about the facility. We also have a special rate worked out for race events here at Victory. Just mention that you are staying for a race here.

There are a lot of other places here in GB but keep in mind that Saturday night may be tough to get a room. With racing starting at 2PM we should have everyone out at a reasonable time to get you on your way.
They have openings for Friday night (10/5/2007) but not Saturday night as the Packers are scheduled to beat up on the Bears Sunday night. (Hehehe)
We will be running a dirt oval club race Friday night at 7PM and the carpet oval track will be open for practice that night also.
